Like others have said, get there early to get a place near a railing. If you don't, you can always get into the "wet zone". People don't like to go there, even in the hot summer months. You'll be able to get a good spot close up and the kids will love getting wet. You won't, but they will.

Yes, there is a designated HC viewing area. You will still need a FP. Ask the CMs where to go.
