WOC tickets

They start with Blue, but you can request whichever from the CMs by the machine. If you have a good reason (ie. everyone else in your party already has blue but you got there to late to get blue) they can give you a blue pass when the machines are giving out yellow

With only one WOC going on right now, what time would you make sure to get a FP if we want the blue section?

It can really vary wildly in terms of when they switch over. If you want blue I would go as early as possible. Certainly within an hour or 2 of park open.

From what I've read on several threads, the World of Color Fastpass process sounds like a nightmare. I don't get it. No other Disney nighttime show requires so much trouble, or creates what seems to me to be such panic. Sure, many people "camp-out" for a decent Fantasmic viewing spot. Thank God this show doesn't have Fastpass.

I've only seen WoC once (last year), and we did the Carthay Circle dining package. When I go back, I think I'll do the same package, but with dinner at Wine Country Trattoria. I'd rather have a nice meal and stroll into the reserved section, than deal with getting a Fastpass, and then still having to jockey for a decent viewing spot.

I agree with you on some level, but seeing Fantasmic at DL and DHS is difficult as well - especially if you have younger children. To see F! at DL you need to wait a minimum of 2 hours to save your spot in the seated area for the first show. To see F! at WDW it also requires showing up very early as well. I am not an expert on F! at WDW (I have seen it twice) but I think arriving 90 minutes early is a standard recommendation.

Illuminations at Epcot is easy to see because they designed it to be viewed all the way around the lagoon. But you also are very far from the show elements. WOC needs to be viewed from closer up like F! and that puts a strain on things.

A friend of mine who has seen WOC before was at DLR last month on a grad night and even though she knows how to do all the right things and did them, they still ended up behind too many people and her kids could not see at all - and were very upset. She contacted Disney after her trip - her complaint was more about how the grad night affected WOC - and a CM called her back and said Disney is aware of and is working on the situation.

I have not been to WOC yet, but how would Grad Night impact it?
