WOC Questions

I've read a bunch of the WOC Superthread but I still have a few questions.

I'll be taking my 2 year old son to DL in January, we'll be there the 25-28. I plan on seeing WOC probably on the 26th (Thursday) evening. This will be my first time seeing the show since the last 4 times we've gone we've missed it though I did "watch" part of it from our PPH room this past May.

I'm not sure if it would be worth it for me to purchase the dining at Ariel's or Wine Country or if I should go for the picnic -OR- since we're staying at the DLH to simply grab a fastpass in the AM through the GCH entrance. The problem with this is that MM is on Thursday and we'll be in DL for the AM and I'm not sure if it's worth it to zip back (as much as one can zip with a toddler) for the FP or if I could grab one later?

Also since it's bascially just myself would it be worth it to buy the dining package?

I do want a good view of the show. I will not be bringing a stroller for my son (to the show) I'll have him in a carrier instead so that's makes where we stand easier, also I'm not concerned about his view of the show since it's bedtime and chances are he'll be asleep. (Yes I know the show is loud but at the park we use ear muffs to limit noise, worked great at Fantasmic he slept the whole time)

Part of me wants to try for the blue section on the bridge but I'm not sure the best way to do this.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You might look at the picnic options since they have toddler friendly foods. You child won't need a ticket but maybe it's something you could share.

The dinner option are primarily to get dinner, not the Show Tickets, those are basically an extra. So if you like the dinner menus that may be a good route to go.

I wouldn't try to view from the bridge in the blue zone. It's a bit of an awkward side view that isn't as good as being in the blue part of Paradise Park.

Also done overlook spending time in DCA. Turtle Talk, Disney Jr. Live on Stage and Fliks Fun Fair. Those attractions are prime for young ones, more so than Fantasyland.

Thanks for responding.

I'll think about doing the picnic instead that might be a better option. I am tall (5'11") so unless there is someone with a child on their shoulders in front of me I should be good to see and it's easier as a single person than with a large family.

My only question though about the picnic is don't you only get a yellow fast pass with it? If I want to stand in blue then I would need to get my fast pass from the GRR would I not?

And is there any possible benefit of going on the Thursday evening as opposed to Friday? My thought was that perhaps it might not be so busy?

We typically spend a lot of time in DCA (love Fliks Fun Fair) so it won't be overlooked at all! I'm very much looking forward to taking my son to see Disney Jr and Turtle Talk both of which we've never done.

Picnics do give tickets for the Yellow zone, which can be just as good as the blue zone.

WCT lunch packages give tickets for the Blue Zone.

WoC dinner packages give tickets to the Preferred Viewing zone, which is between Blue and Yellow.

The WoC FP machines, which are also the GRR FP machines later in the day, give out in order, Blue, then Yellow then Red Zone Show Tickets.

There is no day of the week when Paradise Park is less full. The show almost always maxes out the viewing area. If you want to see more night entertainment than WoC you should consider which day based on when the Fireworks and F! run, since so far WoC has been daily and the others are limited during slow times to the weekends.

Thursday 1/26 DL has a corporate event starting around 8/8:30 so theyll likely close earlier sending those with PHs over to DCA.
