WOC picnics--Guaranteed Blue?

Hi all,

I just bought WOC picnics for my brother and sis in law for their first WOC experience (we saw it already via FPs and it was awesome).

Question---does buying a WOC picnic guarantee them section blue passes? Or is it first come first serve via pick up (like, they should pick up the meals at 11:30 a.m. for blue section passes) or is it first order first serve (like assignment by date of online order)?

We were lucky enough to get blue section FPs when we went (not through WOC picnics), and hope that they'll get blue too w/the picnics.

With the picnic it give yellow or blue. It seem it's yellow at first, you can pick them up from 11:30 until and hour before the first show.

They may give out blue after the yellow or no blue at all. There isn't a way to tell.

Despite what color you get the key to a good view is to be on the rail in any tier of any color.

We just did the picnics last week and got yellow. We didn't pick up our picnics until about 6:00 though. Anyway, we were very happy with the yellow section as we felt we got a good view of all that WOC had to offer without getting wet. However, there are sections within the yellow area where you can get wet if you choose.

I believe that most of the WOC picnic packages come with tickets for the yellow section. The blue section is mostly reserved for the WOC premium dining packages (i.e. WCT and Ariel's Grotto dinners). When I went in August, we got the yellow section with our WOC picnic package. You can get a decent spot with the yellow ticket...you just need to line up very early (get there 10-15 minutes before the actual time on the ticket). Like PP said, you can also go in the splash zone if you want (anyone with a ticket is welcome to) but you will get very wet (ponchos are recommended!).

Actually the preferred viewing areas (with a dining package) is not considered blue. If anything it is considered green but is not really considered as having its own color.

Thanks for all the responses! When we were in blue (from our FPs), we noticed alot of picnic eaters...that's why I thought that picnics get the blue section...at least it will be yellow OR blue

We did the picnic last Friday. Picked them up around 6 and got the blue. We ended up in not such a great spot in the blue, but that's my fault for not paying more attention to the board. Lesson learned for the next trip

We did the picnics this past Monday. Dh picked them up around 12:15 and we got blue FP for the only show of the day.

Buying a WOC picnic does not guarantee the blue section, it really only depends on what time of day you are picking up your meals.
