So, I'm hoping someone can give me some tips on if it's worth it to see WOC for our situation.

We are going in November, so I'm assuming just one show and maybe only on weekends. I'll be 26 weeks pregnant and going with DH and DD 5 and 1. The picnics are not a good fit for us. Ariels sounds nice, and the viewing section sounds great. Although I don't know if the girls or DH for that matter would really enjoy the food. We are pretty basic, counter service type folk most of the time. Plus all of that standing is sort of daunting to me.

What would you do in my shoes? Thanks in advance!

I sort of am in your shoes lol... We're going next month. I will be 29 weeks pregnant and going with DH, DD 9, and DS 2. The picnic options don't really appeal to us, and I just can't see spending that much money on the dining options especially because of what has happened in the past (the show has been canceled but the people who bought dining were not given any options to make up for the show since you are paying for dining and the preferred seating is just a bonus). So, we are just going to wing it. This way we can go on whichever night we choose (we will be there 5 nights), and save some money. I really don't want to do a bunch of standing around either, in fact I get really dizzy and feel like passing out if I'm standing still for too long, but if I want to see WOC I will have to deal with it. I'm just not sure how important it is to me at this point. If seeing WOC was super important to me I'd just go ahead and buy the picnic meals if only for the preferred seating tickets.

First of all Congratulations to you both. :cheer2: Don't be afraid to do DL pregnant, it can still be a great time. I would definetely, go slow, and listen to your body. If it says slow down do it. Take a lot of breaks, drink a lot of water, try to limit your sodium intake. If you don't rush to do everything you will be more comfortable and enjoy yourself more. I would take it day by day, as you can't really determine ahead of time how your body will be feeling yet.
You may want your DH to get the fastpasses at the GRR and skip the meal. That way you don't have the money out, or pressure of going if you aren't up to it.
Relax, eat, shop for baby clothes, and really enjoy your family. :)

Thanks to you both. I think we are going to wing it. We are there for 8 days so we have a ton of time.

Do you have any idea if you can get a view from the breadbowl place? I know it wouldn't be a great spot to see, but if we could get some sort of view and be able to sit at one of those tables that would be good.

We're going in late October with DH, DD (almost 4) and DM. I too am pregnant and we have decided to wing it. We seriously considered the picnic option but I think with everything I've read that we're just going to wing it. Standing in line for hours, only to stand to watch the show, which DD may not be able to see anyway, isnt sounding too appealing right now. If we do miss it I think I'll be ok with that. DD is still a bit young for it IMO and we'll be back next year. And if we do see it, then great! I'm taking this trip with a go with the flow attitude since I know I wont be moving at my normal pace....which usually wears everyone else out anyway so its all for the best!

I wish I could give you some sort of incite to make this easier......there is a lot of standing & after a long day in the park....it makes it that much harder to stand still for that long. I believe they had us up on our feet before 8pm.....the pre-show started around 8:45, then the World of Color show started. So I'm guessing it was close to 2 hours of standing.

Have you thought about maybe renting a wheelchair for the evening.....it surely would be understandable that you wouldn't be able to stand for that length of time. They do have an area for wheelchairs (does have a maximum they'll let in there) but you'd still need a FP.

Ariel's was a very nice dinner & I was concerned about our 5 & 9 yr olds who tend to be very picky.....but one had the mac & cheese while the other had the meatball lollipop (which was a turkey meatball on spaghetti).....so both worked out nicely for them.

I hope you figure something out, because this truly is a fabulous show & worth seeing. I really don't think you'd be able to see from the seating area in the Wharf area. But maybe someone has tried & can advise otherwise.
