Hi, I'll be going in July and not looking forward to trying to see this show - especially with our family group of 14!

I was wondering if you could please share a little more info about your WOC Fast pass experience. I was at DCA about a week before the show opened and haven't been back, will do research but so far I don't know what things and the crowds are like.

I waited 45 minutes to an hour and we got in there right when the park opened...I heard the line was so long already because people staying at the GCH could get in before anyone else.

The FP gives you a certain color section you will stand in to watch WOC. We were in the red section. We went to our section about 45 minutes before WOC started.

Thanks for the information, I'm really not looking forward to trying to see this show since our group is pretty big and we will have two members in mobility scooters.

Do you, or anyone else reading, think it's pretty pointless to try and watch the show without a Fast Pass, even though we probably won't see much from the reserved FP areas anyway :goodvibes. But it probably helps a little.

I'm sure the entire area, FP and non FP gets really insane during showtime :scared:.

If you don't need to see the first show, you can show up later in the day and not have to wait at park opening. I entered the FP queue at 11:50am and got my FP at 12:27pm. It was for the second show at 10:15pm. There are plenty of standby lines that are longer than that. :)

you guys waited in line for 45 mins-2 hours? when i went on the day it premiered, my friends and i waited for 15 mins. and we got into the park around 9:30AM. i guess we were lucky. we got the 10:15PM showing and we were in the blue section.

The third show seemed to be a "walk up" if you wanted to wait for that show. It started around 11:15 I believe.

The day that we were at California Adventure the line for WOC fastpasses went all the way to the plaza. I made a comment about it to a nearby CM and he said the line was an hour and half.
We passed by that area several times that morning and at times it was only to the Radiator Springs sign, but it looked long all morning.

My family and I were just there this past week - ( 7 of us total) - we got to CA at about 9:45, it was crazy. When we joined the line it was just in front of Soarin and went down towards GRR and then began to wrap around about three times. I asked a CM and he said fastpasses where started at 8:30 - which seems crazy to me since park hours state 10:00 - but anyway. It took us almost 2 hours to reach the fastpass machine, when we did it was already giving out fastpasses for the 10:30 show. I wanted to see the pre-show but oh well.
We recieved the blue section and had to return to wait in a long line that wrapped in front of Ariel's Grotto at about 9:15ish. We then stood there with our backs turned,so not to be forced to see the show before our time. Then we waited for everyone to clear out and our line finally moved. We got inside - we were so close to the front I was excited. I am a short 5'4 and when the show started, I was so upset. I couldn't see any of the lower stuff for all the people in front of us. My 6 year old daughter fell asleep in her stoller. My sister said - all this money and no thought to "viewing" -.
I tried like heck to talk everyone into giving it another shot on one of our other days (we have 7 days total) - but no-one was willing to wait in all the lines again to be disappointed with the view we may or may not get. Three hours standing for a 20 minute show - a little disappointing to say the least.

Ok, now that my rant is over on that -- on June 23rd Wednesday we were back at the park for our final day - we were in line 20 minutes for California Screamin' and the ride shuts down :scared1: - we had to turn around and walk out of the line. My daughter wanted to ride Mulholand Madness so we walked over there- as we passed the Zepher it said "temp. closed" and then we get there -- and MM is closed !! I could not believe the park on this day - we left and did some shopping in DD. If I did not have an annual pass I would have been California Screamin' for my money back -- Don't get me wrong I am actually in the low number of people who love CA - but it needs some work for sure :sad2:

Turtle I am RIGHT there with ya. We arrived on Monday the 21st and we went to WOC on the 23rd. We did the AG preferred and after paying almost 200 bucks we got about the same view as you NONE!! I had a GREAT view of people's HEADS! And that was in the so called "preferred" area. We got there RIGHT when they said we could and we stood behind a fence "thinking" it would be a good spot but I honestly don't know WHERE a good spot is other than as far forward as possible next to the water where NO one can possibly stand in front of you. I don't know what color that is but I know that even the "blue" or preferred only goes so far down and I think there is lower sections below that and if people stand there it seems you could be blocked even there.

We paid all that money and it was pretty dissapointing. We also paid for Grand Californian and got a terrible room so it was a pretty dissapointing trip. Like you said at one point it seemed that Tower, Screamin and just about every ride other than the kiddie rides were broke down but luckily we were so dead at that point we just sat down and let the kids play in the fountains. But I am glad that wasn't a day when we only had one day or something!!!

You could go the picnic/ fastpass...you can check it out on disneyland.com. They are $14 each and include a picnic meal and fastpasses to WoC. They did a review of it on DISunplugged

This is what we plan to do if the lines are this crazy in November....$14 per person is a bargain compared to wasting 2 hours in line! Plus, given the price of food around DCA, you'd be paying near this anyway to feed yourself before the show.

Anyone done this and have a review of where they were seated???

We experienced all this as well. I was so frustrated! Twice we walked all the way over to Screamin' and we couldn't get a FP because the ride shut down. Then by the time we could get a FP we couldn't ride it because they closed the ride at 7:30. With WOC shutting down the rides in PP at 7:30, no FPs for TOT and no FPs for GRR until the middle afternoon, DCA was a challange for us to tour.

I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad time! We did the AG preferred dining, and had a fantastic spot. It is important to make sure you get there by 7:30, though, so that you get a good spot at the top of stairs or at a railing.

On our last trip in mid-June, we didn't have any troubles at all with rides shut down in DCA. My dd rode MM 7 times, and all the other rides numerous times as well. We did run across both Splash Mountain and POTC being closed, but it wasn't for a long period of time, and as my dd told me, "It's because they want to make sure the rides are safe, Mom."

Hopefully your next trip will be a little more smooth.

we did the dining option wct and the spot we stood at is the top of the stairs in front of the circle closest to the water.

That way the stairs went down and people on the stairs we could see over there heads.
