Last year when we took Mom to DLR we did Carthay Circle WOC dining package for a couple of reasons but one was to get better access to WOC. We did have good views but really the show is just too long for mom to stand for. She is a great walker and as long as she is moving and can sit down and rest every once in a while she is fine but WOC pushed her to the limit. I will be using an ECV but I did not bring it into the WOC viewing area last time as I can stand that long, i just cannot walk too far.

So my questions are:
1) are there any benches with decent views that mom can sit at?
2) What do I need to know about the special access section if I take the ECV in with me (mom can sit on that, if necessary)
3) Should mom get a DAS card to make it easier to get a spot so she does not have to stand for the whole show?

Thanks!

The only one of these that I can answer is #3. The DAS, even if your mother did qualify for one, would not help in her case. The DAS is designed for those who cannot, for whatever reason, wait in the traditional stand by line. Since WOC does not have a stand by line per se, there would not be any way she could wait her time outside that line and then come back to enter into the waiting area.

Other than the Disability viewing area, I'm not sure where your mother could sit that would suit her better since any benches in the regular area would most likely have people standing right in front you once the show started. I'm not totally familiar with where there are benches, but I bet someone on the WOC Superthread would! :)
