After too many months of planning, I can't believe it's almost time to go.....

We land in Orlando at about noon on Sunday, June 27. I figure with luggage retrieval, rental car pickup, driving, food stop, and check-in at the CR, we'll be in our room by 3pm, with nothing to do until a PS at Chef Mickey's at 7pm. If we decide to stop in at the MK for a while, will it be jam-packed on a Sunday afternoon?

How busy are the parks in the evenings? Our general plan is to hit a park at opening, stay until 1 or 2, then head back to the CR for a break, and then return in the evening. Should we expect long lines for the rides after 7pm?

Finally, if we have an 8pm PS at the California Grill, is it reasonable to think that we'll be able to make it to the MK for an e-ride night that starts at 10pm?

Thanks for the input!

Sunday is an EMH day for MK, so it might be a bit more crowded than normal... but my experiences have been pretty good in the later afternoon time frame (4pm or later)... you can probably still grab a FP for something... Philharmagic, maybe Space Mtn. or one of the other mtns... or even Buzz -- and then do a few of the other attractions with lesser lines. With a 7p.m. PS at Chef Mickey's you may not be seated until 7:30 and depending on how long you linger over food and characters, wouldn't get back out of dinner until almost 9 p.m. -- not sure what the closing time is for MK that night but you'll probably only have 1-2 more hours, but most people will be lining up for the parade so you might get some short lines.

You should have plenty of time to be back to e-ride night w/an 8pm PS at Calif Grill. You don't have to be in the park at closing to get in... just show your ph/uph pass and your e-ride ticket or wristband and you can go in -- even after official closing.

We're headed to the CR next weekend too! I hear it's only a 7 minute walk to the MK. The monorail would take longer to get there, but is the first stop on returning from MK. I think the park closes at 10?, so after Chef Mickeys you may have time to at least walk down Main Street and see the fireworks. That first stroll down Main Street every trip is Magical! My kids still love the "Blue Cars" (TTA). There should be no wait to get on. It travels slowly through Tomorrowland and is a great way to see some of the park. It's slightly possible you might still be able to get a fastpass for Buzz Lightyear or Space Mountain, so check that out first, then ride TTA.

E Ride night shouldn't be a problem, but I'd ask about your situation when purchasing the tickets. Be sure and get them asap. I've heard it can sell out, although we've never had that hppen.

See you at E Ride night! I'll be the dad with the 10 yo DD who can't get enough of Thunder Mountan...:jester:
