WLV Room Inquiry

I have found that if I request a certain room/location, etc., then I obsess until it works out to my satisfaction. I would like to try a new strategy and be aware of rooms I know I wouldn't want.

We will be staying at WLV for a week in March. I know I don't want studio 4533 or a handicapped room or the room overlooking the dumpster. Other than that, are there any other rooms I should try and stear clear of?

I think the views from VWL are 95% good, 3% great, and 2% other. I was surprised how nice the view was fron the front side since we had always tried for lake side. I don't know of any "bad" rooms other than those you have listed and am a former one night resident of the infamous 4533.

I am a former 5 night resident of room 3560...aka dumpster view. It was the 2nd to last room on the end of the hallway on the third floor with a gorgeous view of....the dumpster, the service cart parking area, and the service road! So that said, I would not reccommend this room either, or at least if you find that this is the room you are assigned when you check in, request a different room!

Definitely "Just Say No" to Room 4533 (if using it as a studio). It's a lockoff. No balcony to speak of. If you press your cheek against the window, you can see the pool though. No fresh air to speak of.

We ended up with both the "dumpster" view and "no balcony studio" rooms back in October. My parents were in 4533 (used as a studio). And we were the last room on the third floor looking at the dumpster. I was a little bit embarrassed. I wanted to impress my parents with our purchase! At least the rooms were super clean and the common areas were impressive. This was our first visit using our WLV points. We checked in on a Tuesday, so maybe there was less to choose from checking in on that day. My husband told me if the front desk ever tried to give us 4533 as a studio room again, he would refuse it. I'm sure it would be fine if you had the one bedroom part with the balcony. But a DVC studio with no patio or balcony is just plain ridiculous.

Maybe they see us coming from Indiana and figure we're too nice to fuss over the crummy views. I was at BCV bright and early on opening day back in July. I was the proud recipient of.... the service road view. I backed right out and asked for another room. I got a lecture but I also got a beautiful pool-view! What they DON'T know is that even though I have lived in Indiana for a lot of years, I am from NEW JERSEY! Ha!

Thanks for the heads-up on the VWL "baddie" rooms.

Is it safe to assume that the room numbers are the same on each floor, like 4533 and then the room below is 3533, etc? Is that something to keep in mind when checking in?

4533 is the only lockoff studio without a balcony is what we heard. Someone said it's a construction error.
