WL - Woods View King Bed Rooms

Both times we were offered king bed rooms at WL, we had to give them up. Each time we quickly found out that the room were handicapped accessible, though we would've love the king beds, we are not fans of the "roll-in" showers.

We really want a king bed since it's our honeymoon (and that's what we asked for on the reservation). A roll in shower is no big deal, although I know there are courtyard rooms with regular tubs and are keeping our fingers crossed for an upgrade to one of those rooms at the bottom of the "U". I just have no idea where the other king rooms are located.

One last bump for the friday night crowd - I hope someone has stayed in a king room that wasn't courtyard view.

Just saw this thread ... :)

I had a woods view king bed back in November at WL. It was ground floor, very close to the elevators near Roaring Forks and the laundry room. It was an accessible room with the roll-in shower. Since I was ground floor, I had a patio which was directly next to the wall around the loading dock. The otter pond was outside my room and I could walk pretty close to it. I actually saw the otters one morning. If I squinted through the trees, I could see the monorail go by.

Though the room was perfectly fine, for some reason I was not thrilled with it. I was on a solo trip, and I hated being next to a loading dock with trucks coming all day, and ground floor no less! I felt I got the worst room in the whole building for a female traveling solo, but they were full so I had to live with it. During my week-long stay there, of course everything turned out fine - but the room didn't have much "magic" for me - think I would rather be on a higher floor, or pay for courtyard next time!

Thanks hugs - depending on if we get $$ at the wedding we might pay to upgrade to courtyard if it's available (right now it is) but we really can't afford the upgrade right now. Otherwise we'll be happy with whatever room we get.
