Is this a good place for a family of 4? I need bunk beds and a balcony. Do they usually fufill room request there? We will be there first week in Feb. Any other resort suggestions? We were also thinking Poly but it is a lot of money. Is the Poly worth the extra dough? Has anyone got any good codes in for early Feb in the past for WL or Poly? I know I am full of questions tonight.
Thanks, Tara

WL is a great choice! My kids are very close in ages to yours, and they love WL. They have been very good about fulfilling our resort requests in the past. The kids will love the bunk beds, and WL is cheaper than Poly, yet still close to MK. I wouldn't hesitate to spend your vacation there.

Thanks zip... You seem to be a disney expert from the looks of your info. Would you recommend any room or room type? Have a great trip and share all the details when you return!

The bunkbed rooms would definitely be great for the kids because they provide a little more room to move around. Plus, the kids love them. We always gotten Woods View rooms. Many of these have good views of the fireworks from MK. I've heard the courtyard view rooms have nice views of the pool, waterfalls, and lake but tend to be a little noisier and less private. They also cost more. Standard view rooms tend to have views of the parking lot. I think the Woods View is great for the value, and I would request North Wing upper floors because those are the rooms with the MK views. I would love to try Concierge sometime, but I've heard some people haven't gotten the greatest views and were bummed for what they paid.

Whatever you do, I'm sure you will love "the Lodge." Make sure you visit the WL FAQ board. There's tons of great info on it, and all of us WL fans are very friendly and eager to help.

Thanks for wishing us a great trip. I can't wait! Just hoping the weather will be OK for us.

Like zipDdoodah, I'd try to get a woods view in the North lodge. The kids get to see the fireworks from MK every night and could also see the Electric Water Pageant in the lake as well.

We didn't have bunk beds but the two queen beds offered everyone plenty of room to sleep vs. the double beds in the moderate or value resorts. Also be sure to eat at the Whispering Canyon Cafe and sign up for Flag Family (check the WL FAQ). You could also take the kids over to the free evening campfire at the FW campground nearby to see Chip and Dale and a Disney movie.

Try to get on the higher floors...this stay we are on the 6th Floor, closer to the lodge building instead of the lake and we got a nice view of the fireworks--in a previous year, we stayed fireworks view--but had a hard time seeing the show through all the pinetrees. So if you really want that view--get a higher up floor.

Also--there are mosquitos at night--so if you want to utilize that balcony to view the fire works--you will need something for the bugs.

stay safe Lisa loves pooh. It seems as though the storm might be weakening and I'll keep my fingers crossed. Although you never can tell. Thank you for your help.

we stayed @ WL Villas this past May; family of 4 including 3 y.o. DS and 5 y.o. DD. we already have reservations for WL Villas for next May. WL is great for families IMO. The pool(s) are great, transportation via boat to MK is fast and often.

Robdam, did you stay in a studio or1 bedroom? What are the Villas like? We might be able to afford a discounted studio. Do the Villas have a kitchen? Were you able to get any good discounts on it?
Any questions you could answer would be helpful.
Thanks,
Tara
