My sister had to leave on this day but squeezed in everything we could before she left. Here is my day:
We woke up at 7am and got ready for AK. I really wish they had coffee in the rooms. Did you know they deliver the Orlando Sentinal every day? Well, they do. Also, at the WL in the am, they have plenty of hot water, but no cold water? Very strange. It must have to do with making sure everyone gets a warm shower but I wanted some water and our bottle was gone so I went to the sink and it would not get cool. It was cool later on in the day, but only hot water in the morning.
We went to the snack bar again (at WL) this morning before we left and had bacon, fruit, cereal, milk, coffee
and a roll. It was good. We arrived at AK around 8:15 am and walked on to Kilamanjaro Safari, then Kali River Rapids, then Dinosaur, then the 10:40 showing of that Lion King show, then we walked right on to Tough to be a Bug. It was very easy and fun. We had to leave around noon to head to the airport. As we walked out, I noted the line for Security (where they check all your bags) was about 100 yards long. This is as bad as I've seen it down here. Even MK was very quick with the Security checkpoint. All of them are actually but this one was sloooowwww. We got through early and only had to wait about 5 minutes but these people probably waited for 20 minutes or longer. Keep that in mind when it is time to get everybody out of bed. Tell them to get a move on or they will be waiting in line.
Drove to the airport in 25 minutes from AK and dropped off sister. She called me on my cell phone when she got to the gate to tell me about security and check in so I could share it all with you. She said if you are flying one of the Major Airlines (AA, UA, Delta) you will be waiting in line for about an hour (I saw this first hand this morning when I left) but if you are flying a small regional (Continental) then you will fly right through check in. Security is about a 5 minute delay in the am, about 10-15 in the afternoon. Anyway, dropping her off was easy and quick.
I left the airport and went Straight to Epcot... Alone! It was great. I had a blast. I had a couple beers from different countries (Germany, Norway) and a glass of wine at France. It was hot but not muggy like the previous days. I ate a bratwurst at Germany and it was wonderful. I watched the characters go by on the Fun Red Bus and that was neat. Then I watched the band in Canada play (Kilt something or other). They were fantastic. I really recommend this to everyone. They are really good for those who like any kind of music. Funny too
I left Epcot about 5pm and went back to the hotel to pack and get ready to leave the next morning. I had the front desk print my bill for me in advance so I could just wake up and go without checking out. This was handy in the morning. At around 6:30 I decided to go back to the Flying Fish and eat alone near the kitchen facing the grill. It was great. I ordered the dish my sister had the last time we were there... Yellowfin Tuna. It was so awesome I could not believe it. A Perfect 10! The wine was good... The fish was excellent... The service was top notch AGAIN. Everything was great.
At about 8pm I was all finished and headed back to the hotel for my last nite's stay.
Any questions?
