Hi! I am trying to decide on YC vs. WL for June 27-July 5. I just got back from WL and had the best experience ever at Disney. The kids and I really enjoyed walking to FW and they loved the pool. My DH is going with us in June and wants to stay at YC for the location and dining choices. The June vacation will be more of a relaxing vacation with no early mornings (well maybe one or two), waterparks and resting. What would you do at that time of year?

I like both of the resorts. I stayed at the BC this past December and it felt too summish for Christmas. The WL is gorgeous, but I feel like it should be winter when I am there.

Honestly, the YC and BC are beautiful resorts and for the summer, they are an awesome choice. And SAB is absolutely the best pool on all of Disney property, IMO.

I forgot to mention that there is about $400 difference in the WL bunk bed woods view and standard YC view. That would be a plus for WL in one respect.

We love the BC/YC. SAB is our favorite pool we've used or seen at Disney. We like to stay there because it is relaxing to us. With SAB you don't even need the water parks for us.

WL is a beautiful resort and we like to eat at Whispering Canyon but for a more relaxed trip you will love YC and the kids will be in awe of SAB.

I agree that the Yacht Club is a very quiet resort. We loved the two stays we had there. The Boardwalk area is really nice to walk around and enjoy.

The other great part staying in the Epcot resort area is that you can walk to both Epcot and the Studios. You can also take the Friendship boats to either park.

I can't tell you how nice it is to watch the closings at either Epcot or the Studios and then be able to walk back to your resort.

We love the Y&BC area for the exact reasons you mentioned you were "looking" for!

With Florida heat in the peak of summer, you'll be taking full advantage of Stormalong Bay! If your kids thought the pool at the WL was great, wait till they see this one ;) It's very much like a "mini" waterpark and we love the "sand bottom" feature. The slide is a huge upgrade and the idealic "boardwalk" setting is a perfect back drop. Either way, it's a great way to spend a hot, Florida afternoon!

We love the location of these resorts as well. It's so nice to stroll over to the boardwalk and grab an icecream or play a round of mini golf at Fanastia Gardens. It's absolutely amazing at night as well, you almost forget where you are until you hear Fanastmic and Illuminations in the backround :cloud9: Don't forget that the BC now offers "beachside" disney movies on an inflatable screen! Like others have mentioned the distance to Epcot and DHS is also a big plus!

I can easily justify the $400 cost difference, especially if your placed in a standard room overlooking the wedding gazebo or quiet pool with a day bed. You'll notice the larger room size as well.

If you've never stayed at the YC/BC before, you've got to stay there at least once. It's a hard pic, though, b/c my two fav resorts to stay at are the WL and the BC.

Overall, the YC/BC have the best location in WDW. It's a walk/boat ride away from two major parks (EPCOT and DHS) and it's a walk away from the BW, too.

If I were to convince you just a little further, I'd stay at the BC over the YC. Here's why: it's closer to EPCOT and SAB. Also, it's got the better food services in it, like the Beach Club Marketplace, Cape May Cafe, and Beaches and Cream. Not that it's a trek from the YC, but the BC is just a slightly better location.

I'd say YC or BC for most of the above mentioned reason. The loacation and SAB are the best! Either way, you're going to Disney!!! :goodvibes

Actually we've stayed at the BC and the YC, so we know the resorts. We just can't agree! WL is special for me, and YC is so easy and has such a great location.

I have stayed at both and if you really like Epcot and DHS I would pick that. ABeing able to walk back to your resort is awesome and they do have a great pool. Both pools wil be packed in the summer. There are more food options near the YC though. I stayed at the YC this past December and we really enjoyed it.
