We are trying to decide whether the WL is worth the extra $$. One of the considerations is the breakfast. We LOVE a good breakfast.

The Pepper Market rocks...we have stayed at CSR before.

Do the options at the WL for a counter service or "quick service" breakfast compare?

Thanks for the help!!

How long ago was it that you stayed?

We stayed in various resorts over the past year and I found the QS breakfasts to be pretty much the same offerings of eggs, bad bacon, and waffles or pancakes at all the resorts.

If you were happy with CSR, I'd stay there again. I like WL, but its not quite as convenient as an actual monorail resort (which is what the price increase is mainly about). My favorite resort is POFQ, which I think has the greatest variety (and beignets for breakfast!).

I *think* we were able to have omelets fresh made at the Pepper Market at CSR as a Quick service. Is this still true?

The WL CS area looks like a closet, when compared to other CS areas at resorts. I would choose Pepper Market over other resort CS locations, unless I was looking for a specialty item. For example, tonga toast or beignets.

Yes, they still have the Omeletes (I had a cheese one and DH had the mexican one last year).

Yes DH and I both had a fresh made omelete. You can also get eggs to order. I think CSR has a lot more options for breakfast than WL. I think Roaring Fork is very small and has a very limited menu for both breakfast and lunch/dinner. But on the other hand CSR seems like it's a little more expensive. I'm thinking $1 to $1.50 more per entree, and they add the service charge. We had breakfast at PM on Thursday and we had $3 service charge added to our bill. Not sure if it's $1 per person or if was 10%.

It's 10% tacked on to the bill. Part of the reason the meals are more is that the restaurants at CSR are not owned by Disney and the fact that it is a convention resort and those business people get their meals reimbursed.

Great stuff. It sounds like CSR is what I remembered. We have decided on CSR. Hopefully we won't change our minds!

Thanks for all the info everyone! See you there!

For the extra $100-150 a night it would cost to stay at WL compared to CSR, you could stay at CSR and get a cab to WL every day for breakfast with the money you saved, if you so wished ;)

But in all seriousness, from looking at the menus of what WL has to offer, CSR has so much more variety. Just factor in minor things that may sway your decision, such as the distance to walk to the Pepper Market (which can be 15-20 mins if you are at the back of the resort) or the extra couple of dollars the meals may cost you.

Having said all that, I am glad you have decided on CSR as it's a lovely resort, which is why we are going back there next year
