WL Transportation ?

We're staying at the WL in June and want to eat at Chef Mickey's in the CR. Can we take the boat to the CR or would we just get on any bus and get off at the CR?

I don't know if the ferry stops at CR. When my DW and I stayed at WL last year, the ferry ran between FW, WL and MK only, but that may have changed.

For character breakfasts at other resorts, we caught the "Character Breakfast" bus that started running really early. We didn't do Chef Mickeys (it's a little too frentic for us ). We did others though.

Ask at the front desk for the bus schedule; it lists all the buses and parks, telling you when they run.

I know they run the boats to CR in the evening, but can't remember if they do during the day.

You do not indicate what time your are eating a chef mickey's. I do not know what time the boat goes from WL to CR, but if it is not running you can take the bus to the Ticket and Transportation center and take the resort monorail to the CR and then do the same going back.
You might get a better answer on the Transportation board

WL does not share a bus with CR. I believe that WL shares its bus with the GF and Poly. When we stayed at WL in 12/99, the ferry ran between CR, FW, and MK. You could take the bus to WDW, hop on the monorail and head to CR. But, if the ferry is still running the loop it was in '99, I would think that would be your quickest way to CR. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here!

I think you would be fine taking a bus to TTC and then taking the resort monorail to CR-the resort monorail is kind of fun to take through the resorts.

We stayed at WL in October and took the bus to TTC and took the resort monorail to tour the resorts-it was very efficient and we probably would have done it this way had we had a PS at Chef Mickey's.

This time last year, DH and I were staying at the WL and took a ferry to the CR for dinner at the California Grille (around 8 pm). I don't know about the daytime, however.

We took the boat from WL to the Contemporary when we stayed. There are two boats--one goes to the CR and MK, and I think the other went to FW. They have different colored flags.

The boats start running early in the morning, so you should be okay for breakfast. It was about a 5-10 minute ride and a lot more relaxing than another bus trip!

We used the boat last June to get from WL to CR for our breakfast at Chef Mickeys and had no problem. We decided on an earlier boat than necessary fr our seating and had time to look around the resort before our breakfast.

We were just at the WL this past week. The boat from the WL to the CR runs from about 7:30am until 10 pm.
