WL to Richard Petty in the AM

MY DD and I gave DH the Richard Petty Rookie Driving experience for his 40th birthday. We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge. The woman on the phone said a shuttle runs from near the TTC. He needs to arrive by 7:30 am and we will not have a car. Other than a taxi are there any options?

Does anyone have any idea how much the taxi wil cost?

Are taxis available outside the Wilderness Lodge or will we need to call for a reservation?

We have always used Disney Transportation (Buses) for everything - even early character breakfasts so I am unfamiliar with taxis at Disney.

The date is Friday April 9th if that matters.

There is a bus from the WL to the TTC... it runs approx every 12 minutes, and starts up around 7:00am. (Although the first outbound trip might be slightly later) The trip to the TTC is 3 minutes, and will drop you off just a few steps away from the Richard Petty Shuttle.

You might want to try calling Richard Petty to see if they can pick you up directly at the WL, since it's so close. Can't guarantee they'd do it, but it's worth a shot.

Thanks for your response. We will call the Petty people once we are in Orlando. I think he could take the first bus to the TTC. Worst case is the taxi which shouldn't cost us too much.

We have always had excellent luck with the bus service (including early character breakfasts - I always ask guest services the night before what time the first bus will pickup and am at the stop 10 minutes earlier than they quote).



p.s. as a direct result of your info on the resort board I booked a suprise girl's only trip (DD, myself, her cousin 9, and my sister) in August at the POP.
