WL to MK ferry....How early?

I am staying at the WL this August. I have 8:30am reservations at Cinderella's Castle. How early does the ferry from WL to MK start?

Hey ZIP! Remember me...DMBNUT from the Contemporary last November..both got Tower upgrades?

The ferry begins at 7am I believe..I would leave the WL ( my favorite hotel!!) BY 7:30am for an 8:30..just to be safe!

Is the day of your reservations a EMH day @ Magic Kingdom? The large Green Flag Boats start running appx an hour before the park opens, but it also goes to Ft. Wilderness Campground first so it arrives at WL about :25 mins later. Say the park opens at 9:00am the boats first stop at WL would be appx 8:25am, If the park opens at 8:00am first boat would be 7:25am. The smaller Blue Flag Boats start running between the resorts (CR, Ft.Wilderness,WL) @ 7:00am these small boats go from one resore to the other every few minutes.

The Wilderness Lodge has a direct bus that will take you to the Park, the bus starts running early enough for you reach the Magic Kingdom in time for your PS. (It's always a good idea to check with Guest Services for any changes in transportation)

Hey, good to hear from you again. Well, amazing at it seems. I was able to convince the wife to go to Disney again this August. She and my DS(2) didn't go last time. But, he is now going "Dinney". So she knew she lost the battle. We are back to the WL this time and we are going for the longest we have ever gone..6 nights.

Hi - We were just there (WL) and had 9:00am ressies at the castle. I was told that the boats started at 7:00 also! Definately check first because it turned out that the only boat that early went to the contemporary resort - not MK! YIKES! We had to take the boat there, then walk the rest of the way! Or should I say run...the rest of the way there! I hear that you won't get in to the castle if you are late, so I would be sure to have alternate transportation just in case! We left WL at 7:30 and barely made it to the castle by 8:30! Phew...at least we did! Just be sure to ask someone who knows the schedules, because we asked concierge CM and they were wrong! Have a blast!

We stayed at WL in March and May of this year. In March we relied on the ferry to take us to and from MK. In the morning we always had to wait 3-4 ferrys before we got on, since they stopped at FW first. In May we decided to try the bus. The only time we had to wait was because the bus was just pulling away as we got to the bus area. But within 5 mins another bus was there. The ride to MK by bus takes less than 5 mins. From then on we always took the bus. Hardly anyone used the bus, I don't think there was ever more than 10 people on it. Plus stepping onto an A/C bus after a long day at MK can be relaxing. Also I imagine for people with little kids not having to walk by the pool could be a benefit. You can relax a bit before taking them to the pool. Good Luck.
