WL to Chef Mickey's?

Hi transportation experts!

I'm hoping someone can help me with these questions.

1. Using Disney transportation, what's the quickest way to get from the WL to the Contemporary?

2. What time would you recommend leaving the WL for a 5:30 ADR at Chef Mickey's?

There is a small boat that runs between WL and CR. It's usually a 10 minute trip but I would allow about 45 minutes because I hate to be late.

45 minutes is about right.

20 minutes waitng for boat
10 minute ride
5-7 minutes to get up to CM

You can take the boat from WL to CR, but you might have a lengthy wait for the boat and/or a lengthy trip depending on whether or not the boat has made its stop at FW already.

There are a couple of alternatives:

1. Take the bus from WL to MK. Tell the bus driver you have an ADR at Chef Mickey's and more than likely he will drop you off there first. When we were going to CRT one morning for breakfast we took the MK bus from WL and the driver asked if anyone was going to Chef Mickey's that he would stop at CR first.

2. This is a bit of a roundabout route, but if the CR boat isn't at the WL dock and the MK boat is, ask if they've already made their pickup at FW. If so, you can take the MK boat and then hop on the monorail over to CR. The first monorail stop after MK should be CR.

Number 2 is a last resort in my mind, but it will get you there. I would agree on 45 minutes at least. It's better to be early than late.

We stayed at WL last year & never had a long wait for the boat. I would think by the time you would go out to the dock, check on the boat, then head back to where the busses pick up, then get on a bus, drive to MK, get on the monorail, and get to the Contemporary...you'd be better off just waiting for the boat. They run every 20-30 min, I believe. Allow 45 minutes & you're sure to be on time, if not a little early!
