wl standard or get woods view?

hey all

went to the land in dec and did the bounceback program for aug 18-26 this time we are taking my parents also. we booked 2 rooms at wl standard.

first question. do all rooms have balconies for standard?

2nd question. are they bad room? should i at least upgrade them to woods view?

its there first time there so i want to make it special for them but dont want to break the budget also.i could squeeze and upgrade but that about all.

also if staying in standard whats a good room/floor to get and if not what about woods view.

Funny you asked! We have been going in circles with the our group of 11 with Grand Gatherings. First I booked 3 Standard rooms at the WL, than they called me back and said that I should go with 3 Wood View Rooms because the Standard rooms are scattered all over the WL and chances are we would Not be together at all. but if I go with the Woods view chances are Great that we will be put together. Plus they said since I am trying for a AP discount that alot of times they don't always do the Standard view Rooms? but if AP's come out they offer the Woods View Discount so this is what I have been told the other day but "who knows"!!! Also when I asked they did say that All their rooms at the WL have Balconys but some have 1st.floor walkout patio like and some balconies have solid railings that when your seated you can't see out you must stand to see, but the Honeymoon Suites has their balcony facing inside of the lodge it'self. Hope this helps..
Oh, I was also told that the WL just went through a soft refurbishment and that they replaced the bed mattresses with now Pillow Top Mattresses..

stayed at WL 3x and did Standard room each time.

I don't feel you need the upgrade because I feel the balcony is very small ..

Also if you are going with other people you all cannot fit on a balcony so will be better off congregating in lobby which is absolutely gorgeous.

don't spend the xtra bucks...do standard

the Honeymoon Suites has their balcony facing inside of the lodge it'self

I stayed in one of the four honeymoon suites-there was a balcony-it faced MK and we could see the fireworks.

so did we! When we exited our room, we were right above WCC, at the top floor. There were chairs out there too.
