WL Rooms w/ a View?

Help please...

Since most of my experience at WDW is prior to their massive hotel building phase of the last decade, after having a short vanguard trip last week I am hoping to talk my wife into WDW for our next year's family vacation in January (I'm going to book as soon as the reservation CM's will allow me to reserve the dates).

Anyways, I know WL is probably where we'll end up if we stay at a deluxe, but is there a roommap available anywhere to request specific room no's? I would like one overlooking the MK and lagoon (I know, it will cost extra), but really don't need concierge (unless the concierge lounge overlooks the MK and fireworks, etc.) and is really worth it. We'll probably end up doing 3 nights at a Mod (POR!) and then 3 nights at the WL.

And if anybody knows what the possible cost would be with AAA or government-discount (if Disney even has government discount at WL), I would really appreciate.

In the party will be myself, DW, and our DD2.5

I've seen numerous threads regarding the WL but haven't seen any specific to room no's and which overlook what (or I'm just not good at the search function yet). So really appreciate your help in this. Otherwise we'll probably just end up in one of the FW cabins since they include a kitchenette and we like the open air.

there is not one - the woods view would be your best bid.

the Cont is the way of most of the views of the MK.

the higher woods views have reported views of the fireworks.

WL does not offer gov't rates, but they offer AAA. It's generally in the neighborhood of 15% off rack rate....depending on the season.
