WL room request

We are staying at Wilderness Lodge and have a Courtyard view. Need help with room request.

I know we want to be in the North Wing, due to being close to Roring Forks (for a quick breakfast). Want to be high, DH wants to see the lake and pool, I would like a little privacy.

I don't think we could see the fireworks from this location, is that right?

We stayed at WL before, but had a woods view overlooking the otter pond. It was great!! quite, watched fireworks from our bed, left the door open heard the birds and seen small animals outside.


I am a little worried the courtyard will be loud.

It appears from your ticker that you'll be at WL in about 11 days? Currently, the North Wing rooms are being rehabbed. The 7th floor (CL) was finished about 3 weeks ago and the 6th floor should be done this week. When you are there, they should be working on the 5th floor rooms, so the 4th floor below will be closed so that guests won't be disturbed by any noise directly above them. For your booking, this would leave all of the South Wing rooms open and floors 1-3 and possibly floor 6 (just rehabbed) open in the North Wing.

If you've booked a Courtyard View room and you want a partial Wishes view, a view of Bay Lake and the WL courtyard and a quieter location, I would request a South Wing Inner Courtyard View room. The 5th floor is the highest floor without any solid balcony railings. It's a mix of solid and see-thru on the 6th floor. If you know a rehabbed room is important to you then you can request a rehabbed room, which would be on the 6th floor of the North Wing. It would not have any view of Wishes as it would face the courtyard toward VWL and FW.

The WL courtyard does get loud during the pool party in the afternoon, (PA system and music) however, with your door closed, it's not bad.

Thanks for info - helpful for me too. We are heading to the WL in 2 weeks (YAY) Have also booked a courtyard view room, and was trying to figure out our requests. Can you see the water parade and / or boat dock from this type of room?

You can see the EWP and Bay Lake from all the INNER/WL Courtyard View rooms. Make sure you request an INNER/WL CV room if you would like to see the lake/geyser/EWP. Otherwise, a CV room can also be a view of the Villas of Wilderness Lodge Courtyard.

Also, the cs is a short walk from the lobby so as long as you are pretty close to the lobby, getting to breakfast is not a big deal.

Thanks. another question, Is the view to the lake and pool, similar from the the North and South wings. I usually see photos looking out from the south wing. I will be ok with this type of view instead of the woodsview and the music during the day won't be a problem. DH really wants a nice view.

Just an FYI if you have booked a courtyard view, it does not mean you will be in the courtyard proper. There are rooms on the outside area of the courtyard that overlook a quiet pool that are classified as courtyard.

I think you have already answered my question I just posted.

Looks like I want an Inner Courtyard View. Do not want to look over the villas. Now I just need to choose if we want a possible view of the fireworks or ask for a rehabbed room.

Good luck we didn't get any of our requests when we went. I loved paying big money to see a quiet pool.

We had a wonderful room in the south wing, inner courtyard. It was close to the lobby, and had a wonderful view of the lake. We watched the EWP from our balcony at night. Didn't see MK fireworks. We weren't above the pool, so no noise. We looked down on Silver Creek area.

Just returned. We received each of the three request I made.

North Wing, inner Courtyard view, high floor (with open balconing).

We were on the 5th floor, rehab just completed. Had a nice view of the pool and lake.
