Ok, we leave in 13 days for our disney trip (that I have been planning since 435 days out).

We are staying Wilderness Lodge, courtyard view bunk bed. I want to call on Monday and put in a room request.

For those experienced WL guests, what should I request.

The view is the most important to us, and walking distance isn't a big deal.

So, any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi - Our family was at the Lodge two years ago in January. We stayed Courtyard view which could mean old and new section. Ask to face the lagoon with the pool view that way you can see the boat show at night. When we arrived we were given a room, we walked out to the balcony and unless you were standing up you could not see out. There are certain rooms, I believe on the 5th floor with the closed balcony make sure you ask for a balcony room you can see out of. Luckily, our room smelled like cigarettes so we were given a good room with the good view. Sorry to ramble on. You will have a great time at the Wilderness Lodge. We also had the bunk beds for our kids.

Courtyard view could either be the main pool/geyser/babbling brook or the south side which faces the villas and the smaller pool and clump of trees. I'd suggest making sure you get the former view at least.

The above link shows a room map of the WL. I have stayed at WL over 30 times, but not in a bunk bed room. For a good view I would suggest a room in the inter-courtyard on the 4th or 5th floor. The higher floors most likely will have a solid balcony. I like the view from the rooms in the "bears face". These would be rooms 4067 to 4079 and 5067 to 5079. I don't know which rooms have bunk beds. The only downside may be the noise from the lobby. It hasn't bothered us, but could be a factor for some.

Good luck.

Request an interior courtyard view. Also, ask that the room overlooks the lobby.
