Does anyone know if the WL rooms have a fridge now? Stayed at CBR a week ago and they had it built in. Has anyone stayed at the lodge lately that knows? We will be at WL in Jan. and I don't know if I should bother with a grocery stop. Also, does anyone know if they charge extra for a king room? We have a woodsview room and I know some of the kings are woodview. One more....are the mugs the same and if not, are they dated? The ones we bought at CBR last week are dated 2003-2004.

I had asked for one and was told there was a $10 fee. I had to request it again upon arrival, then ask again for it to be sent up, but we had it and I wasn't charged for it. It's the small (and I do mean small) cube type. We had 6 Dasani water bottles and a 12 pack of the smaller diet coke bottles in ours. We discovered the first morning that it gets really cold, froze everything in there. Wound up turning it down past the halfway mark. I only saw the skinny mugs at WL, skinny and tallish if you get my drift. There was no date on them. The ones at the Poly were the big fat ones that appeared to hold more liquid. I also remember reading that Roaring Forks has an attendant fill the mugs, unlike the other resorts. HTH,

We were there 2 weeks ago and did not have a fridger. We had a queen bed and bunk beds.

This is my favorite resort!! I had a woods view room and had a wonderful view of the castle. If you click on the link below, I took pictures of the room and the view from the balcony. There is no fridge in the room and I believe they cost $10 a night to rent. We've made make shift fridges, by putting our milk in one if the sinks, then filling it with ice. Kept it cold the whole time. Regarding the mugs, I think they are the same pattern as before, which is tan with the bears walking by. I did not see anyone monitoring the drink area for mugs, while I was there.

I was just at the WL Oct.6-10 and the mugs weren't dated as of then and I also filled my own mug...............don't think the attendents are filling the mugs.

You may or may not get a king bed. I don't believe they charge extra for them.

I think most of the king bed rooms at WL are handicap rooms. Can anyone confirm this?

Did you make a request for a king bed on your reservation.

Make sure you request a fridge. The charge is $10 a day.

Have a great time.

Oh, sorry about that. I read someone elses post and they said that. Are the only mugs that they have the ones that look like they'd fit in a cupholder? I think that's great, I didn't buy the Poly ones because they'd not fit in my car.

Oh yeah, I jsut booked WL for April and the CM that I tlked with said that there will be fridges in all rooms by then. I'd request it anyway if you really want it, then remind them that they're N/C if they put it on your bill

What room category was the room with the view of the Castle & fireworks? We are going in April and want a view of the Castle since our 3 young children won't allow us to go to night shows.

Just a warning on this to avoid dissapointment. You HAVE to get one of like 2 rooms to see the Castle. It's that break in the trees that you must be lined up with. I requested room 5032 (Woodsview) and we got put right next door ... couldn't see the castle ... only the glow of it through the trees at night.

Do if you book a woodsview room just don't have your heart set on having a castle view. If you look at her pics you can see she was lined up right with that hole in the foliage. (4032 / 5032)

WL is still a very, very nice place to stay and we are happy that we are splurging on a Courtyard view this time! (Got a great code)

We didn't pay extra for a King room. There aren't too many and we have only received one a couple times ----- they weren't handicapped accessible rooms, but I've read that other people got HCA with a king bed.

We're headed to the WL for our first ever trip to WDW 12/3-12/11 and CAN'T WAIT!!

I flipped flopped which hotel we were staying at for the first 5-6 months of planning, and I feel so good about our decision to stay here!!! We got a great pin rate of $121. for woodsview.

It seems like the refillable mugs would be good not only to save a little money, but also as a souviener.
