WL room locations

Snagged a last minute ressie at WL, standard view. Does anyone have any decent locations/rooms I should as for when we check in? I know standard view is not much to offer, but we're going and I need to have my morning tea and evening wine on a balcony Thanks!

Hello, to a fellow NJ dweller
First, you must ask for a complimentary upgrade to a Woods view (courtyard view is even better). If rooms are available, they will normally upgrade you. My family travels to WL once/twice a year and have not been one of the unfortunate ones to have a "bad" view. The only place I would ask not to be placed near is the service entrance, that some have said is very noisy. I have found it very peaceful overlooking the Villas. I too enjoy my coffee on the balcony. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks pigletlover - we are going THIS Thursday, having just booked LAST Thursday. So when I say snagged, we snagged for sure. I was going to ask for an upgrade upon arrival, but being holiday week, I'm not sure that will be possible. I am hopeful that since we are arriving Thursday, and not Friday, that maybe something may happen, we'll see. We too have often stayed WL, but not in a standard view room. So thanks for the insight as to the service entrance!
