I just changed our ressies from CSR to WL. AUg 12-17. i hope this is worth it , but anyways i booked a standard room with bunkbeds. do the standard rooms all have a balcony? which area/floor should I request? AND i know there is a boat to get to the MK how long down it take to get there? Is the boat the only option or is there also a bus????? ::MickeyMo

I believe all standard rooms have a balcony or patio. The boat ride itself is about 20 minutes long. Sometimes the boat picks up at Ft Wilderness and then goes to the MK. I have heard that there is also now a bus from WL to MK and it is about a 5 min ride.

You will love WL and the kids will love the bunk beds. We had our kids rotate the top and bottom bunk, whoever was on the bottom got to answer the wake up call from Mickey each morning. :earsboy:

As Tinkerbell60 stated, all rooms at the WL have a balcony or patio. Before 3:00 pm the boat goes from WL to the MK and the trip is about 10 minutes. After 3:00 pm the boat goes from WL to FW and then MK and the trip would be about 25 minutes.

Can you actually book a room with bunkbeds? I thought it was pure luck if you got them and that you could request them but there were no guarantees? :confused3

Is this a recent change? When we stayed at WL a few years ago, we shared boat/bus with FW every morning. Glad to hear it though-we're staying there in June and that was the one drawback for me.

No you still share a boat with FW. Before 3 pm the boats go clockwise WL-MK-FW and then WL again. After 3 pm the boats go counter clockwise WL-FW-MK and back to WL. Anyway this is how it was last Dec..

garys right about the boat it switches directions during the day
i hear they have buses now wheni went in Sept we had a car no buses for me i have patience
but i hear it stops at the GF and poly sometimes
so...i would take the boat and switch to the monorail to go to epcot and just take the boat to NK
as for akl and mgm i think your stuck with the bus
