WL question about standard rooms...

What are the locations of these rooms. I know some are over the check in desk, but where else?

These rooms seem to all be off of the main lobby. They look out over the two sides of the resort at the front. Some of them are stuck down behind the roof of the bell services and arcade while the higher ones look over the roof toward the Villas. On the other side the standard rooms are above the loading docks for the restaurant and hotel with woods in the distance. I have heard that garbage pick up can be noisy early on this side.

Does anyone know if there are any standard rooms availabe in either wing on WL , or are they just available in the main building?

I know there are standards on the North wing. We have had a room on this wing. It was halfway down the wing, facing MK with the service lot below. Contrary to what many say, it was not noisy with deliveries.

I had a standard which looked over the smokehouse area which is also the delivery area I believe. It was still nice because we were high enough that if you just looked eye level you culd only see the trees. Even looking down at the smokehouse and delivery area was no big deal. It was still very nice. The whole resort leaves you in such awe that it really doesnt matter.

When we went earlier this month, the price difference was about $10 per night so we went with a Woods View and were booked at the East end of the North Wing (Artist's Point) - it was great because we could get to the boat launch really quickly and of course had a short walk back at the end of the day from the launch.

Finally, being at the end opposite the elevators and vending machines it was nice and quiet

We had room #2004, so there we only a couple of rooms and hence people walking by
