WL Pool Question

Hi,

I was wondering if we will be able to do much swimmining during our December stay at WL. We are putting together a rough itinerary for our stay. Our kids are pre-teen and love the water. Just wondering if we should minimize our swimming time due to weather conditions or should we build some swimming time into our schedule?

How does WL pool/water slide compare to other Disney resort pools? Thanks for any help you can give us!!

WL has a small slide in their pool but their pool is beautiful. DS11 loves this pool.
We are planning on spending time at the pool - usually at least our 1st afternoon and then whenever we can find extra time.
We last used the WL pool when visiting people at the VWL Dec 02. It was warm enough some days, some days cool enough for a winter coat.

We went last yr,and I thought it'd be too cold to swim(it was cold,,wk before xmas)but there were a handful of ppl in the pool. I guess they were from England,,per the lifeguard.

They heat the pools,,if that helps. And it really depends,,sometimes its cold,,sometimes its nice. I'd bring your suits,,just in case. The WL pool is nice,,has a slide that has a curve in it. They also have a couple hot tubs,which should be nice!

There is also a smaller, quiet, no slide pool at the WL villa's next door you can use. If not busy, maybe your kids can do cannon balls into the quiet pool. enjoy !

We always choose the warmest afternoon and just go for it. This December it was a little cooler but we enjoyed a quick dip then a long sit in the hot tub. WL pool is never too crowed and it is beautiful. DS 11 enjoyes the slide though it's not a huge trill slide.

We did lots of swimming, both at the water parks and the hotel pools, in early January this year. We have also gone swimming in Oct, Nov and Dec. Pools are heated.
