O.K. Who was talking about obsessive planning?? I have WL booked for our 8 night trip in Aug with our last night at AKL as a surprise for my partner and three kids. Here's the Q. The first five nights I am solo with my two daughters 10 and 3. I decided on WL b/c of room service, more dining choices, and the boat. Of course a million unforseen expences have come up and I am considering switchint to POL if I can to save a little $$. But as I recall there is a lot of walking and I am not tolerent of heat (yes I know it will be very hot in Aug.) and want to save my energy (which I know I will have none of by the end of this trip) for the parks.

So experts, do I dig deep and stay where I am in hopes of walking a bit less and having more R&R at the resort or save about $400 and do the moderate??

And am I the only one who will agonize over every decision before I go???

I too agonize over these decisions -- you are not alone! I suggest that you spend the money to ensure a more enjoyable vacation. Stay in a deluxe resort where there is less walking to find your room, more dining options, and easier transportation to the parks.

I agonized over my own ressie I had made for 3 nights at CBR. These were days at Disney that we just tagged on at the last minute after our cruise. I knew we wouldn't want to return home directly from the port so we reserved the CBR for three nights. Well, I agonized over it, and read these boards day and night trying to decide if we made the right choice. We had only stayed at deluxes before at Disney so we were a little afraid of the differences between a moderate and a deluxe. So, in the name of sanity, we changed our ressie to AKL and let me tell you that I now feel a sense of relief. I had been too worried over the long walks around the property, the long walks to the food court, the long waits for transportation, etc.

You must also consider that you have a young child to tote around these spread out resorts after a long day enjoying the parks. You can request a room close to the food court and the main building, but don't you think that just about everyone is also requesting that same thing? Everyone can't stay in the close buildings. So, my advice is to stick with your original choice of a deluxe. I hope you enjoy your vacation whatever you decide!

Thanks for the feedback. I am glad to hear I am not the only one who agonizes over these decisions! I think it will be a good decision esp. on the days I am alone with the girls. I hope everything isn't too crowded!

Enjoy your stay!!
