WL or POR?

I have already booked POR for next January and was planning on waiting to see if codes came out then I was going to switch to WL or AKL. After a lot of thought, I have decided that if I can't have a Savannah View room at AKL (I just refuse to pay that much for a room we won't be in that much), then I would rather just try the WL instead. I am now thinking of not waiting on codes and just going ahead and booking WL (and of course if codes come out then great!). So, I guess what I would like to know is, is it worth the extra money for a standard view room at WL over a standard view room at POR? We will have 3 adults and one 5 year old. Any information would be great! This is our first time staying on Disney property and there are just way too many choices! Thanks a lot!

I actually split a stay between the POR and the WL once. I really think you'd be happy at either of them. With a five year old, you'll probably be spending a lot of time at the MK, so you might like having the boat to the MK. Both reasorts are beautiful.

We stayed at POR last year and we loved it. That said, we are splitting a stay this year between WL and PO-FQ. We are very excited about the added amenities at WL and since our boys are older (they'll be 5 and almost 3) they will surely have more of a say in how many days we spend at MK. You can't go wrong with either one. With AAA or a code, the prices are pretty comparable and neither gave me a heart attack. Just close your eyes and point! Have a great trip! --H

we originally had Riverside booked for 3nights before VWL for 6
I recently changed them to 3nights WL and 6nights Beach Club Villas

(we couldnt go w/out our WL fix)
