WL or Poly

Excluding cost as a factor, the Poly is the better resort, IMO. the rooms are bigger. I know, I know, it's not the size of the room, it's how you use it. Not true. The extra sq. footage will make a difference, especially with 5 in a room. The pool is more kid friendly, as discussed above. And the transportation options are superior to all other resorts. You can take the monorail or a boat directly to MK and you can walk to the Epcot monorail at the TTC.

We'll be going in Oct. (of 2005, it seems soooooo far away) so I'm sure we will be using the pools! I'm really leaning towards the Poly, the ease of transportation is so important since I know we will still have at least one napper (DD2)! All this info is great though. It helps so much with the decision!

What I think might be an advantage for the WL in winter is the fact that everything is contained within the confines of a building. When the winter season moves in, it gets darker around 5 PM. I believe that not having to walk a considerable distance outdoors from your room, to any other part of the resort in the dark might give WL an advatage. From anywhere in the lodge you can walk in a lighted hallway to any other part of the lodge, including the lobby and restaurants. Again, I'm only speaking about the winter season when the days are shorter.

Absolutely. No contest that in December there is no place more beautiful than Wilderness Lodge.

Polynesian resort would not even be a consideration for me in December.

The only monorail resort I would consider in December is the Grand Floridian.
