WL or Poly April 07

Back to planning yet another Disney Vacation! This past august we stayed at WL and LOVED IT!!!!!!!! We found the need to go back but are doing the whole maine/beach vacation this year so we are planning april of 07. Our choice for hotels is the WL again or Poly. Our main park is MK staying at a MK Resort is a must. Is the Poly worth the extra money????? Our kids will be 5 and 7 at the time.

This is one of those religious issues. They are two different resorts, in terms of theme, and that drives a lot of passion with regard to one resort or the other, and beyond that you'll still have a good number of people who will maintain that they love each equally!

I think what might be best is to ask yourself (and clue us in, incidently ) what kind of person you are, what kind of family your family is: Is the excitement of being new something that you'd like, or not? Is the comfort and familiarity of returning someplace you've been, and had a great time at, something you'd like, or not?

In the end, my best guess is that you'll be happy with the decision you make, regardless of which way it goes.

He loves them both, but the Poly gets his vote. He loves the monorail, and it is so easy to get to MK. You can go by monorail or boat. If you decide to go to Epcot (which he also loves), it's a short walk to the TTC for the Epcot monorail, or you can take the monorail to the TTC and switch to the other track.

He likes the pool and the game room at the Poly better. He loves the character breakfast at the Poly, too. He also likes to ride the monorail to CR and go to the character meal there. He also loves the kids' club at the Poly. He likes the volcano pool better than the WL pool, and loves the little boats. He & DH rented one and had a blast!!!

He does like the wildlife at the WL better. We saw rabbits, squirrels, lots of wading birds, even a rather large snake! (Ugh! Most of the kids loved it tho!)

I like the fast food at the WL better, but I have to go with the Poly on room size and ways of getting around. We only used our car to go to MGM & AK. (We do not like to go by bus with a munchkin. When it's time to go, it's time to go, not go and wait for a bus that may not even have a seat.)

We honeymooned at WL and celebrated our 10th anniversary at the Poly. You can see the fireworks at MK from the beach at the Poly, too.

Whatever you choose, you will have a blast!!!!

We like them both - You may want to try the Poly to see which you like better, and then you know for next time.
