We are traveling with a 4 year old in September for 4 nites and are planning on spending most of our time at MK (our favorite park). Currently, we have reservations for WL for $140/nite, but could get a studio at BC Villas for $205/nite. Do you think it is worth the extra? I do want to try BC/YC someday for SAB, but the transportation to MK I know isn't so great. (We stayed at the Swan last year which was great, but had to share the bus with the Dolphin, YC and BC - not great). :confused3

Let me know your thoughts.

I would stay with WL. especially since you know you want to spend the majority of your time at MK.

he will grow up - in his teens, when he will appreciate the SALB pool more, then you can stay there.

I 2nd Pat's vote. If MK is your main park and you want the easiest/quickest route to that park. WL is the way to go.

I wish that I could help but the WL and BC are my dream resorts(even though I have never stayed at either) They both have conviences to the parks. With your childs age and spending most of your time at the MK I would stay at WL. 140 is a great price for WL. You also didn't mention where you were from and that may influence your choice based on the atomsphere of the resort. Also saving the money you can use it for something eles like an illumination crusie or one of the hard ticket parties.

I would also say stick with WL. We stayed at BCV last year and loved it. That being said, since you know you will be at MK often, and the location is important to you, stick with WL. The fact that you would also only be talking about a studio at BCV makes it an even easier decision.

I'd stick with WL, just for the proximity to MK. We're staying at the BC for the first time next month, mainly for the pool, and the transportation to MK was the only check in the "cons" column when we were deciding. Since we're planning 2.5 resort/pool days and 2 park days (both at MK), the better pool and being on the Boardwalk won out over better transportation, but for a more park focused trip, I think WL would be the better option (and it is still on our short list in hopes of a code for our long Dec trip)

Thanks so much for all your responses! We've decided to stick with WL after all. YC/BC will still be a consideration sometime, some day, but for now the rate and the location near MK won out. I am so looking forward to our stay in September.

Thanks again. :thumbsup2

I know many people think that WL is a great place to stay for proximity to MK, and if you look on a map it IS closer, but when we stayed there it took us a long time to get to MK. Once we were on the boat the ride was more pleasant than taking the bus from the Beach Club. However, we waited a long time for the boats to come. Also, the boat made stops at Fort Wilderness and the Contemporary. We really enjoy the Beach Club Villas and Wilderness Lodge, so I don't think you can go wrong staying at either location.

We spent 10 days at VWL this summer & actually used the bus transportation to the MK more than we did the boat. The bus stop is right outside the Villas. We love BCV and have stayed there several times but decided we wanted a different pace this summer & loved it.

The only other thing that made me think twice was the fact that there is only one queen bed in the room (+ the pull out sofa). Our little guy really needs his own bed; I'm not sure how he would do on a sleep sofa. In a couple of years when he's a bit bigger it will matter less. But for now the two beds (and the renovated room with the flat screen TV) will be better for us.

Thanks all again.
