WL or AKL (2/2 - 2/5)

Hi. We are going for a short trip to WDW in early February. We currently have a reservation for the AKL, but are considering changing to the WL due to its proximity to the Magic Kingdom.

We have two small boys (1 and 3), so the Magic Kingdom and the Animal Kingdom are the two parks we will focus on (plus Illuminations one night). We've stayed at the WL in the past, but have never stayed at the AKL.

Any thoughts?

Because the busses at the AKL go much faster than the boat from the WL your travel time to the MK will only be 4-5 minutes more from the AKL. If your kids like the Animal Kingdom Park and like animals in general I think you should give the AKL a try. The pool is big and very nice though the slide is not as fun as at WL. Mara food court IMHO is better than Roaring Forks.
