My husband has just agreed to a trip in May 2006 and I soooo want to stay at WL. But there are five of us. Has anyone stayed in the rooms for five (are those the deluxe rooms?) and more importantly, what did it cost? I would love some feedback from you WL vets. Thanks!!!

Hi, we just got home from the WL last week! We loved our room! We requested a bunk bed room and because of their ages (9,7 and 4) were able to fit one up on top and the two smaller ones on the bottom opposite directions. That also worked well w/2 on top because of the nice rail to hold them in! When we stayed at the POLY last year we had two double beds (I think they were double) and a day bed which was nice for the 3rd kid to sleep on. I have to tell you (and I'm sure you know this by now trying to get resservations for 5) that Disney moderate and value resorts are for families of 4, you have to go deluxe to get either more room or more sleeping options for 5. Wish Disney would make more "bigger" family options at those resorts some day! I think in another year or so we will be packing a blow-up matress as they get older. We are also looking into the DVC to get a bigger acoomodation.

GOOD LUCK!

The only time they allow 5 to a regular room at the WL is if one of the children are under 3. Otherwise a family of 5 has to book a deluxe room which is also called a junior suite. Rack rate with tax included for May '06 is $518.48 ouch! But there will be ways of getting some discounts since they show rack rate for a regular room at the WL to be $277.64 including tax which seems teep to me. There are deluxe rooms (not suites) at the AKL and then they do allow 5 to a room at the other deluxes. WL is the only one they don't. They will let you have 5 to a room at Port Orleans Riverside and it is quite nice and lots less $$

Sorry, I don't mean to be disrespectful; but it's children under age three. Our 3rd child is 2.5, so I know this from experience.

You are absolutely right. I should proofread better before I post. I was thinking 2 and under (as in under 3 since I consider a 2.5 year old still2) but I reversed my wording. Thanks for correcting me - you're not being disrespectful at all.

Just curious, but how were you able to book a standard room at WL with 2 adults and children 9, 7, and 4? Is this a change in WL's policy? :confused3
We stayed there when our youngest was 2 and would like to again but we have always been told by CRO, travel agents, and on here that they won't let you book a standard room for 5 unless one is under 3. Friends of ours wanted to stay at WL with their family of 5 and told no also.

Thanks for the responses. I know we will probably end up either getting two value rooms or CR wing depending on the rates. I just want to stay at WL so badly. Maybe we could do value most of the week and a couple of nights spring for two rooms at WL.
Anyone know what the deluxe (for 5) room at AKL costs?

A deluxe(could sleep 5 depending on bed config), in May(regular season) goes for $330 per night.

If you can swing the Contemporary - even a wing room - They have 2 queen beds, a day bed, 2 sinks, a very large Standard room, very nice for a family of 5.

The monorail glides through the resort. Best Arcade. Chef Mickeys and only a boat ride away from WL.

Ask for a renovated room with a flat TV and nicer beds.
