We enjoyed the counterservice restaurant. All of the food was made to order, and very good.
We liked breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe. We ate there 1st thing in the morning, before they were doing all of the antics, so it was peaceful and the food was good. We didn't enjoy dinner at all. The food left a lot to be desired, service was slow, and it was very loud and rambunctious. Not an atmosphere I desire after a long day in the parks.
Artist's Point.. never eaten there for dinner, as the menu doesn't appeal to me. The view is spectalar, however... and if the dinner service is as good as the breakfast service was when they were open for breakfast, you will like it. We find this restaurant to be more scewed toward an adult dinner out. I am sure not everyone would agree with me. There is a kid's club right there, though, if you desire.
When we stayed there, there was an overwhelming scent of pine in the lobby. If your son is at all sensitive (I am and had a bad reaction) this might not be the place for you.
