OK -
we are planning a trip to WL for Late October early November -
it will be DH, myself, dd - 10, ds - 3 and a 2 month old!
DH does not want to stay anywhere but WL - and is willing to go concierge if I insist - lol

1) Will they LET us stay in a room in concierge with '5' of us?

2) In your opinion is it REALLY worth the extra $

3) is there a MK View Room? Bunks?

4) what is the usual rate in the time period?

5) am I better off just booking a regular room then asking about upgrading when I get there?

I know these havbe all been asked - and I remember reading similar stuff but that was a while ago and the search isn't coming up with any 411 for me -
so thanks in advace for your responses

1) The 2 month old doesn't count, so you should be fine. :)

2) I think WL concierge is worth it IF you can get a discount. I wouldn't pay rack rate for it.

3) I don't think any of the rooms on the 7th floor will have a view of MK because they don't go down the long wings... the rooms end before the wing section begins. Unless you might be able to get a slight view from the rooms over the loading dock area.

4) I believe the rack rate during that time is $350/night.

5) That's probably what I would do. We asked at check-in and they offered us concierge for only $60/night extra. So it ended up costing us about $210/night. A much better deal.

Thank you Erica for your responses -

One thing - i shoudl have asked what the CODE rate at that time usually is - not the rack rate

:)

We stayed at WL in March. Our room was 7th floor woods view (room 7044 to be exact) and we had a perfect view of the MK, castle and SM. We watched the fireworks from our balcony each night. It was awesome. We upgraded when we checked in a felt it was worth the extra money. Hope this helps.

With the age of your kids, concierge will be well worth it. There is some cost savings on breakfast but the true return of staying concierge is how relaxing breakfast can be.

There is no rush to get all the kids ready, go to the restaraunt, back to the room for last minute bathroom runs, etc..

With concierge, you go out to the buffet table, get your food, take it back to the room (if you want). Kids can get ready at their own pace. You will feel so relaxed to start the day at the parks.

Now for cost. Last december we stayed concierge for $219 per night (AP rate). I believe at the time a standard WL room on AP was $124. Last May we upgraded from a $129 per night standard room to concierge for $50 per night.

We have stayed at WL concierge and upgraded at check in. It was a great experience, but I wouldn't have paid rack or even AP discount rate for it. What we paid to upgrade at check in was fair.

There are a limited number of bunk bed rooms - we had one last december.

The upgrade rates I have seen posted have been between $35 - $55 per night. The upgrade cost is based how much you are paying for the room you reserved.
