Hi
this is my first post (been lurking for a long time)
I was wondering if anyone has any first hand details of the wl concierge? My family will be their at the end of Sept, and we just upgraded for $56.00 a night. I thought that was a great rate??
DD 3yrs. and DS 5yrs. So I think we'll be @ resort alot?? Any other advice would be much appreciated too since this is our first family trip.

I stayed with my DW and DS (4) back in July and had a great time. It's not for everyone, but the snacks helped on the days where we can back in the mid-afternoon to rest before going back out. We weren't in the resort enough to take full advantage (the whole point of the trip is the parks :), but it was worth the upgrade.

How did you upgrade early? I got the offer when i checked in.

We stayed at WL Concierge last October with a then 3 and 6 yr old.

We enjoyed it. The food offerings were nice. I wouldn't say they were overly fancy but "cozy"-much the theme of the resort-things like cheese from the Northwest U.S., cobbler, apple crisp.

They had pb and j uncrustables for the kids and our kids really enjoyed them-so did my DH. Vegetable platters in the evening. A nice selection of little desserts. Again, nothing overly fancy, a good mix of things that adults and children would enjoy.

Breakfast was bagels, coffee cake, fruit, cereal, juice, etc.

Afternoon was gummy bears, pretzels, lemonade.

We did not get a call from the concierge office before our stay regarding PS's or anything. You may want to contact them if you need help planning activities. Turndown service was nice-our kids enjoyed finding little chocolates on their pillows.

Inthemood - how did you get the concierge upgrade? What did you have booked originally? We're going the end of Sept, too - the 23rd to the 30th. I know that sometimes you can ask about concierge at check-in and maybe get it for a good upgrade price. Just wondering how you got such a good upgrade price before check-in.

On the subject of WL concierge.........
I am still trying to figure out where the best room location would be , and we want to request a Queen/bunkbed room with a woodsview (I think).
I've read the WL Concierge is on the 7th floor. What type of views does the concierge floor have?

we asked for the upgrade availability at check-in and just paid the difference then. easy, easy, easy!!
