Hi,
Thinking about upgrading to concierge from a courtyard. Just a couple of questions. I guess you must call for concierge at WL, I've never seen it as a choice when booking on-line.

Is soda and bottled water included in the lounge? If so, is the soda fountin, bottled or caned? Are they available pretty much all day?

I'm thinking for the extra $35/day, it just might be worth it. We generally just eat bagels & such for breakfast. We don't snack alot during the day, but we are big bottled water drinkers. We each generally have a couple of bottle per day.

One more please, is it wine/cordials only? Would there be any beer? *LOL* I supose a nice frozen dac or marg would be pushing it just to far!!!

Thanks!!

Do you intend on changing your reservation to concierge or trying to upgrade at check-in?

They did not have bottled water out last year but I'm sure they would have gotten us some if we had asked.

They did have soda in the evenings.

You have to ask for beer and bottled water.

When we were there last October they offered large bottles of sparkling water that you could pour into a glass but not bottled water. They had cans of soda. No beer. Sadly as my choice would have been a marguerita they didn't offer any! I believe they had juices and iced tea often in addition to the hot tea/coffee.

If you can manage to get the upgrade rate then I'd say definitely go for it. We did similar in March, upgrading from woods view. We eat a continental style breakfast and the offerings were nice. If you've been to WDW before and stayed on property you'll appreciate that bagels and muffins etc all add up at breakfast and you can quite easily be paying more than $20-30 with fruit, juice and coffee, so the upgrade price is a bargain. I wouldn't worry about the soda/water. The CM were friendly and helpful, so I would say that they'd probably endeavour to get you it if you asked. There was soda out from lunchtime as far as I can remember.

I've heard a lot of negative comments on the concierge lounge area. I haven't done concierge at any other hotel, but I can say that we really found the lounge-area relaxing and great to overlook the lobby and people watch. Also, feels very exclusive to be on the top floor!

I would recommend concierge totally!!

For an extra $35 a night, I would say it is worth it. I upgraded for $70 a night, and I didn't think it was worth it -- it was just me and my little boy and we were in the parks a lot so didn't eat much. When we were there, the snacks were good. Pop/water wasn't out all day -- you had to ask -- and often there was only one CM around and if he/she was talking to another guest or making ressies for them you'd have to wait until they were done, and that could take awhile. But . . . for $35 a day, what the heck, go for it -- it is cool to have the magic key that lets you go to the 7th floor.

However, is the $35 a night upgrade guaranteed? When I was there, I upgraded at check in and a lady right next to me in line heard and asked if she could do the same, and was told that there were no more concierge rooms available. So I imagine it depends on the length of your stay and whether there are rooms available. Good luck and have fun.
