I have seen so much info on the Poly, BC and AKL Concierge, but not much about WL. I'd really like to hear some reviews - I am having such a hard time making a decision for our December trip and now I think WL might be a great choice for their decorations. So many choices :earboy2:

We went this last Dec (5-11). WL was amazing! I think it was the best trip we've ever taken. The concierge was really nice, sometimes we ended up eating 2 dinners - one at the concierge, one at a restuarant we had PSs at, b/c the food looked so good.

We had some slight issues with them during planning, they were kind of hard to get a hold of. But at that point I think thats the Disney Planning Office and not the specific hotel. But we did call the hotel directly for a few things and the concierge staff was great. Marco especially.

We loved it. WL and Decemeber are now are new favorites.

Ziggystardust - Do you know what views you get with these rooms? Did you happen to get a code rate for your stay?

WL concierge was my favorite experience in concierge so far (we've tried AKL, BC and WL). The CMs were very, very nice and it made the atmosphere of the whole stay so pleasant. They greeted us wheneever we got off the elevator and seemed to eminate good moods. :goodvibes I loved it. At AKL, the CMs don't greet you or acknowledge you or anything on the concierge level so it felt kind of cold after you are used to the WL experience!! The Beach club concierge CMs were nice, too but at WL it seemed they went the extra mile--mainly because when we first got off the elevator someone overheard my son say how good the gummy worms looked, and when we got to our room, a CM knocked moments later w/ a cup full of gummy worms for my son! So sweet and unexpected! The mousekeeper was very nice and made us angel towel animals (we got towel animals at BC, too--which was the only other time at WDW). The offerings were delicious and plentiful. The view of the lounge of the lobby decorated in Christmas decor was great. I completely recommend it!

Our view was of the MK castle, BTW. Very nice :). :wizard:

We've stayed CL at every WDW resort except RPC at the GF and 12th Fl at the CR.

WL to me was nuetral. There was nothing wrong with it, but it didn't WOW me either. I'd go back if I needed to stay at WDW for some reason and couldn't book another resort CL, but it wouldn't be my first choice. I definitely preferred it to the GF.

We also enjoyed the WL concierge. The entire resort is so inviting and magical. As the previous posters stated, the CM's were great and we felt right at home in the lounge. However, the balconies on the concierge floor are full, high walls. You cannot see through the wall and we could not see over it when sitting down. We had a view of the Villas. I am sure someone could explain it better.

Still, we really enjoy the WL and we thought the conicerge floor was spectacular.

We stayed WL concierge last October and loved it!!! It was so easy to get some breakfast in the morning and still get to the parks early. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We also had a great view of the castle and watched the fireworks from our room every evening. I highly recommend it.

I BOOKED IT :flower: Thanks for all your responses.

Pixie Pop - what room did you have? I would love to see fireworks from the room. Not sure what views the rooms have or if you can request one with castle view or not...

I believe the room was 7052, I will check tonight when I get home. I asked for a Northside/castle view. I just wanted to let you know that when you look down you can see a service area but we didn't really care. The view of the castle and the monorail was GREAT!! There was not any noise either.

I will get back with you regarding specific room. I think that you will have a fantastic time!! :wizard:

WL Concierge is great! Staying there again this June. Got a great rate with AP. Our room last year was 7066. Excellent room with view of the fireworks. The staff is wonderful. The food offerings are nice. The service is great. Can't wait to be back there. :flower:

We absolutly love WL Concierge. The service is fantastic. We have always been happy with it.

We were in room 7048 or 7042 I can't remember exactly. We had a view of MK and the Contemporary. Beautiful at night with the fireworks, not so great in the morning b/c we were over some sort of driveway where they had deliveries. We only noticed it if we slept with the sliding glass door open. Well even then I didn't notice it, my DBF did.
I actually specified the exact room number that I wanted after reading someone's posts on these boards and we were lucky enough to get it.

I was lucky enough to get an email code which brought the price down a considerable amount. I think about $100 difference per night.

Congrats on booking it, you will love it!

Anne,

Just curious--what didn't you like about the GF sugarloaf stay? I was planning on trying RPC next visit, but at some point Sugarloaf as well (I can never get enough of GF!). Did you have a bad experience there?
Thanks for info! :)

Oy! Don't get me going on that one! It was a very, very bad experience, we left after one night and moved to the BW.

If it could go wrong at the GF on tha trip for us, it did. We waited forever for bell services (over 15 minutes) when we arrived, and were finally told to just check-in in the main building. Given bad info there during check-in, walked through pouring rain to the concierge building (it was Conch--during a rehab), waited forever for a room (after 5:00pm before we got our keys). Were treated incredibly rudley, out of control kids throwing food from the second and third levels and riding scooters in teh lobby and CM's doing nothing, given a handicap room with no tub, just a roll in shower. And then they lost our luggage when transferring it to the BW. I can't remember exactly one of the other things--they somehow either never made or cancelled our dinner reservations. There were other things as well, it was just a bad, bad stay.

Our room was 7052. Congrats on booking concierge....be careful once you stay you may not want to ever go back...it really spoils you. :teeth:

I agree with PixiePop. Once you go Concierge you may never want to stay any other way. On our first visit to Wilderness Lodge we were given an upgrade to Concierge. My dh loved it. Now I have to make sure we can budget Concierge for our vacation because he doesn't want to stay anywhere else. :flower:
