I have tried to read through the 85 pages of posts here but have become so confused. I am sure this is posted somewhere but could you WL Concierge experts help me out? I really would like a concise list of what is available, times available, etc. Also, are the rooms nicer than the standard? I read somewhere that the food is on a table in the hallway? And the CMs can't sit down? What's up with that? That seems very un-magical for guests and CMs alike. I am sure you experts can help put my mind at ease!

I want to have a happy b-day not worrying about anything! lol

thanks

Hi! I can't tell you exact times for offerings, but I can answer some of the questions. For breakfast, we were given different pastries, muffins, cereal, juice, and a bowl of mixed fruit. There wasn't any yogurt, and the fruit wasn't very fresh.
For cordials, there were things like Amaretto & Godiva.
The wine & cheese selection was okay - all domestic wines, with 4 varieties of cheese, none of them spectacular. There was some barbeque there one day, which was very dry and inedible. Another day, there were cold mushrooms marinated in vinegar and spices.
The food offerings are served on a table, alongside a walkway - there isn't a lounge area like there is in the GF concierge area. And no, the concierge staff doesn't get to sit down, though they said this was fine with them. It's a little strange, to get off the elevator, and there are 3 people standing around one tiny desk, without a chair in sight.
The rooms are the same size as the regular rooms. The advantages are the robes & turndown service, but the robes aren't as nice a quality as those at the GF.
I don't know that we would go back there and stay concierge, but the staff was all very nice and friendly. Then again, so is the staff everywhere, in our experience.
Cheers!

I don't think I would ever pay extra for concierge anywhere. I am pretty familiar with making reservations ahead, etc., and the DIS has been extremely helpful planning my trip. I had concierge level at HRH (got a free upgrade) , and although I was impressed with the food offerings, I just don't see the point of paying a huge amount extra. For a few dollars a night, you can get a fridge, and purchase breakfast items, snacks, sodas etc. I have always rented a car though, so going to the grocery store is no big hassle. In fact, if it was a choice between car or concierge, I would take the car. We never seemed to be around enough when the concierge had the snacks to really make it worth it. As I said, it is cheaper to buy your own stuff.

We have stayed at WL concierge, and would not pay $81 for the upgrade. However, we did ask to be upgraded when we checked in, and we paid $35 extra a night and that was worth it. We have a snack hungry 3 year old DS, and we really took advantage of the different food offerings. If you don't want to pay the $8, just ask to be upgraded when you check in.

$81 upgrade ... may I ask what view you were upgrading from.

The $35 sounds like a Courtyard view upgrade which we will doing tomorrow in fact!

Concierge only make sense, if you plan some time at the resorts to utilise the staff and make full use of the emenities. We will make our call on our return.

To me its not worth it, unless you are planning on spending a lot of time at the resort.

I don't want to have to leave the park to go back, in time for snacks, wine, cheese, cordials or desserts. Plus, there are too many great restaurants to try at the parks and resorts.

Just my opinion!

Concierge can be worth it if you spend a lot of time at the WL and take full advantage of the offerings throughout the day. My 12-year-old son and I tried in in April and loved it!

The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. If you were looking for something that wasn't out on the tables, you just had to ask and they would get it for you. My son and I went through countless bottles of water, containers of milk, sodas, coffee and tea during our stay. We had our fill every morning of delicious fresh fruit (it was ALWAYS very fresh), croissants, bagels, muffins, danishes, cereal and juice. Since we've been to WDW quite a few times, we didn't feel it necessary to run from morning to night in the parks; we spend a lot of time at the WL too, enjoying the pool, hot tubs, surrey bikes, and water mice.

One thing about WL concierge: since the food tables are centrally located and there's just the one concierge floor, what we usually did was take the food and drink back to our room.

We also enjoyed the various cheeses, cookies, soups, PB&J, specialties from the restaurant, gummy worms, and WONDERFUL little desserts.

The concierge floor at WL also has rooms with fantastic MK fireworks views; we enjoyed the show night after night from our balcony!

We stayed there for 10 days and at the end, we didn't want to go home! It was truly a lovely and memorable vacation.

Thanks for your information, WDWrules. We are staying WL concierge at Xmas time and you have made us even more excited now!!!

Just returned from WL concierge level last weekend with my DH
we had the time of our lives. We asked at the desk about a higher floor and they replyed for $35.00 a night more you can go to the 7th concierge. It was our 35th anniversary, so we decided
yea why not. I have to say I along with DH did not regret it one bit. We received excellant services the whole time. The table always had fresh fruit (wrapped apples) and breakfast foods. When we would come back from the parks we would have snacks
and drinks. One night we even had roast pork with delicious cheese macaroni for dinner. We were so full, we never went out
to eat that night. We had wine and cheese every night, and a good night cordial every night with a chocolate cover Strawberry.
Would I do it again, yes I would, but only when I check in, would I ask for a high floor room. The rooms were the same as all the rooms in the resort. Same decor and size, which that did not matter to me or DH. On our anniversary they sent a nice bottle of champagne on ice to our room with ballooms and chocolate Mickey's. Towel Animals every night and a turn down every night.
Excellant service. One night they made sure we were on time for our carriage ride at WC. Excellant time and Sept 2003 can't come soon enough. Talking DH into March return.
Looking forward to our Cruise/WL 2003 Trip.
Have a great time WDWRules. Put your feet up and enjoy the "Magic"

We also were offered an upgrade from our courtyard view room to a courtyard concierge view room for $35/night last May. We opted not to take it. DH doesn't like wine, and likes a nice hearty breakfast. He felt we would always feel pressure to eat meals there, and get back from parks just to make it worth the extra money.

In the end, he was right - for what you get food-wise, it isn't worth $35 a day (at least not for us). I especially wouldn't pay the extra $81, but that's just us!

Good luck with your decision!!!
