Me, my wife and 3.5 year old son will be staying for 3 nights in June at the WL (Courtyard View). I am looking for people TO talk me into upgrading my trip to the concierge level.

It is my understanding that 1) Several meals are included during the day (cereal in the am, PBJ sandwiches in the afternoon, soda pop throughout the day, and a meal at night). Call me crazy, but these meals ALMOST pay for themselves in the price of the upgrade when compared to eating at a theme park each day.

Is the service that much better? Does it matter for only 3 nights? HELP HELP HELP?????

Thanks
Glenn

Can't say for certain because we've never stayed concierge level. However we will be this coming august for our honeymoon.
But here are some points to consider:

The premium between a standard view room and a concierge room is $195/ day after tax. So you would have to eat almost two C-notes worth each day of food to make it a deal. Sure a family of 3 could do that, but consider that you must eat from this particular locale and every time you go elsewhere to dine you are "wasting" that money. Not only that, but you are shoehorned into eating what they provide. If your youngster gets picky or you don't like the selection, you increase the gap between what you could have paid and what you pay at concierge level.

Also, you most likely have a discounted room at the Wilderness Lodge (I based the premium above on rack rates) and concierger rooms are usually the last to be offered at a discount. This widens the gap between your standard room and you concierge room.

We love the restaurants at Disney, so would never forsake them. We're going concierge because it's our honeymoon, because we get a nice big tub and because we like to come back to our room after a long day and sip cordials and the like. We probably would not go concierge-level if it were not our honeymoon.

Hope this sheds some light on it.

And, remember, concierge foods aren't meant to be used as meals, just snacks. Most concierge levels don't provide near enough food if all the guests wanted to make a meal out of it, and you can only eat so much of cheese and crackers! They do offer a nice assortment of food, but not enough to make a meal out of it every day. Breakfast time is the only time you could substitute a true meal.
