WL compared to FWC

Our family has only stayed at the FW cabins 5 times. Nowhere on WDW property. We are going again in 2 years and I would like to try something different. (Like not cooking for a hungry bunch.) There are 6 adults and 1 3yo granddaughter. They loved renting the golf carts so getting around was not a problem. I asked them if they would like to stay at the WL instead and get 3-4 rooms . Then they would have more privacy. They said that if we stayed there, might as well stay at FW cabins. What are some of the glaring differences in the 2 resorts or do you feel like my kids feel? Would you rather be at the lodge?

There is absolutely, positively no comparison. Have your kids looked at pictures of Wildnerness Lodge? Show them some pictures and they will see how wrong they are. Best part for you no kitchen!

Actually we visited there one day. I think they forget that the pool is beautiful and has a hot tub and outside bar, right? I have a feeling they would like it better, but being the young adults they are they are more set in their ways than I am. I think really they are just thinking of the location and think another monorail resort would be different. I don't think they would be dissappointed though, especially if we could go at a good rate.

I wanted to stay at the cabins but my mom refused. she said she wasn't cooking. I told her that we weren't expecting her to cook and if she didn't buy food, then she wouldn't have to cook. LOL Anyway, we decided to stay at WL. we can take advantage of the fun things at FW, but be in a resort. I have a packet I made up about WL as I was trying to convince her to stay there rather than the Contemporary. I would be glad to send it to you if you want it?
