There will be 7 in our party, with 3 courtyard view rooms staying at WL this December. Four of us, in 2 of the rooms (My DH and I and our 2 DF) will be flying in together. My DM is coming in from Wyoming and DS and DN(12) will be coming in from VA (the 3 of them will be in the 3rd room). My group will be the 1st to arrive, about 2 hours before the others.

I requested nearby rooms when I made our reservations. I am wondering if I should mention this when we check in. Can I give them the reservation # for the 3rd room to make sure we will be all in the same vicinity even if they will not check in until a few hours later?

This will be the 1st trip to WDW for everyone except DH and I and it is very important that we not get rooms on opposite ends of the resort...

If you truly want to try and be close to each other, call reservations, and have them link the reservations together and ask to have it noted on the reservation you would like to be near each other.

They need the info before you arrive. Of course close might mean the same floor as getting 3 rooms at the same time next to each other might be hard if not impossible in Dec at the Lodge. Peak time for them.

Make sure it is noted on your reservation - like Sammie said. Then when you check in you can inquire regarding the other reservation and room location. There are times when a hotel will not give out info about another reservation unless your name is on it -- for security reasons. You might want to have a note from them that says it is okay for them to check. Either that or have them put your name on that reservation, also, and then you can definitely check.

If you are not close, they can always request a "move" to another room. That said, sometimes it isn't possible to do that right when requested but they will offer to do so as soon as it is available. Then you must decide how important it is to be that close. Typically they really try to honor those requests and get you close ... we often travel with parties where we have 3-4 rooms for all of us. Each time we have been placed together.

With that many people you would also qualify for grand gatherings events. If you haven't checked that out you should. Like Sammie said, if you link them together that increases the possibilities ... and if you are qualified as a grand gathering that is also another "flag" for the room assignor at the resort to try to get you together.

I booked through MouseFanTravel, so I will double check with our agent to make sure the ressies are linked.

Thanks all!
