I got to page 13 on the birthday cake thread and gave up....

From what I gathered on that thread, if you want a cake delivered to your room, you have to go through your resort, correct?

We're staying at the WL. Do they make their own cakes? I'll need the cake on the 6th day of our visit. Calling 24 hours in advance should be good enough, right?

Can you order it in person?

If yes, where do you go?

Do they have pics to choose from?

Do they cover the cake up with anything or is it left exposed on the table? I would be worried it would dry out before we got back.

Do YOU set the time of delivery or do they do it at THEIR convenience? We'll need ours sometime after dinner (7:00ish).

I'm taking my DH to Tchop Tchop (at that OTHER park) the night of his birthday. He's an Emeril Lagasse fan. I plan on having the cake already set up in the room on our return. It sounds like I can wait to order it after we arrive rather than trying to do it over the phone. Thanks! Oh, and WL cake reviews are welcome!!

We did this at the GF last year. I ordered the cake over the phone after our arrival. I just called the front desk and they either connected me with the correct person, or said they would take care of it themselves. The cake was not delivered at the correct time as it was to be left in our room as a surprise for ds for when we returned after dinner. The cake was delivered early as we were leaving for dinnner so no surprise for ds. The cake was taken off our bill. Of course, I would have much rather paid for the cake and had it delivered at correct time and ds would have been very surprised as we had told him no cake for your birthday.

But, all of this to say. This should be very doable. The cake in our room was left uncovered. I did not select a cake, it was a very standard birthday cake with his name on it. It did taste good and we did enjoy having it after dinner even if it was not a surprise.

I ordered cake from WL bakery last year to be delivered to WCC. It was delicious if I recall and very chocolately. Too big for me and Ds so I gave it ti staff. I'm sure they'd deliverto your room.

What I also ordered which was amazing was the cookies and milk thing fom the RS menu. It wwas a huge assortment of large bakery cookies and a glass bottle of milk. We had the cookies for days and couldn't finish them. And they were really good. Nice to have after a day in parks. Better than some ofthe desserts.

Good luck
