WL at 7 months?

We own at SSR, but early next June we plan to take 2 grandkids and their parents to WDW. We're thinking of a 2BR at WL due to the close proximity to MK. Will that be difficult to get at 7 months, or what are the realistic chances if we waitlist at that time? We do plan to book SSR now, but really want WL - just don't want to get my hopes up if it's next to impossible. Thanks!

Had no problem at the 7 month for May's trip. Did not call day by day.

Have gotten VWL a couple of times (4) always at the 7 month window but never in June, always in the fall.

We also own at SSR (we just bought at the end of May) and we were able to get a 1BR at VWL for August/Sept. (only three months out). I know this is off season, but we had our choice of any DVC we wanted except only 4 of 8 nights were available at BCV.

We got VWL for our trip in 12 days . I did call everyday but that is just they way I am. I mean it's a free phonecall, why risk it.
