do they share buses with other resorts - going for Thanksgiving week. Trying to decide which resort to stay at. WL i heard shares with Fort Wilderness. Where do people staying at AKV catch the buses? The villas were not built for our stay in 2005.

The WL, depending on where youre going, share a bus with usually the Contemporary, and also FW.
Ive heard that there is a separate stop for the AKV at the AKL. Not exactly sure where as its been several years since I have been there.

- WL shares with GF when going to and from DTD and AK
- WL shares with FW when going to and from HS and EP
- WL to MK is direct

The above routes are good for 99% of the time. There may be some modifications depending on the time of day.


AKL does not share with another resort but has two stops KV and JH . KV has its own stop right outside the main lobby.

thanks for the info - when we stayed at AKL in 2005 - we never shared a bus with any other resorts or DVC. It was so nice not to have to stop at any place besides where we were going. This will be a change and longer time to get any place.

For Animal Kingdom Lodge/Villas, if you are going to the parks...Kidani is the first stop and then the Lodge.

Having the addtional pickup/drop off for AKL/AKV adds about 2-3 mins per trip. Not a problem at all.
