Greetings TEAM:
OK, drive-by post here... I did nothing today, rest and recovery day, and hang out with grandparents/in-laws. Yesterday, I squeezed my 8 mile LR in before all the other activities. It was a good run, the new shoes felt OK, I think I need a couple of runs for my feet to get used to them. My Garmin had me at 8.02 miles/1:20.13 for a 10:00 mpm pace flat. Here are my splits.
Mile 1: 8:21 min
; didn't seem like I was going that fast. Must be the shoes.
Mile 2: 9:52 min - I was consciously telling myself to slow down.
Mile 3: 10:04 min
Mile 4: 9:30 min
Mile 5: 11:59 min - ate a GU, behind my left knee was really bothering me. Walked some
Mile 6: 10:25 min
Mile 7: 10:19 min - now I'm feeling more comfortable
Mile 8: 9:32 min - picked it up the last mile.
OK, that's all for now. Gotta go mourn another Steeler loss.
