Hi everyone. Remember me? My name is Steve. I’m Krista’s husband and I used to post occasionally before work got in the way of my DIS time………..Ok, just kidding! But really, HI GUYS! It feels really good to actually get a chance to post. I’ll try to catch up with everyone:
Stephanie—did you decide if you’re definitely doing the “two marathons”? Let me know what you figure out, because I’m thinking about doing almost the same thing with MCM in Oct and Disney in Jan.
Cam (and everyone else contemplating Chicago)—you’re tempting Krista and I. Stop it! The last thing we need is another really expensive weekend trip. But it IS only 5 hours away. Hmmm…..
Kelley—welcome back!!
Sunny—good to see you here again. Don’t stay away so much! By the way, we have a NordicTrac E3200 at home and it works great.
Kristi—when did you change the picture in your siggie again?? I didn’t recognize you (yet again) because of the new pic. Although it’s good to see you have Johnny on there. We would expect nothing less!
Dave—speedy, speedy, speedy! Are you even planning to try to run with me for the Pig or are you just going to say goodbye at the pre-race coffee table and we’ll just catch up to you when the rest of us mortals finish??

Ok, for real, good job on the race! I guess we can be glad that Ohio isn’t that snowy right now.
Kevin—nice job on the pace and getting outside! Gotta love the wireless internet, huh? I couldn’t live without mine, either.
Judy—you ARE a brutal coach to yourself. Remind me to not let you coach me.

Hope your knee is doing better (I had to ask Krista what happened since I didn’t keep up with last week’s thread).
Krista—I know you’re my wife and all and I see you every day, but what are you doing switching your picture on your avator?? I didn’t recognize you, either!!
Laurie—nice job on the 5K and great pace!
Colleen--do the Pig.....do the Pig.....
Jim—I’m not the least bit jealous of all your Florida tid-bits. I’m perfectly happy here in cold, rainy, “when is this winter EVER going to end” Ohio.
Mel—WTG on the pace!
MelR—all I have to say is that you’re a machine! I had no idea you did all those races after Goofy, either.
Kristin—nice job with the 4 miler. It was weird to read this morning at 8:00am that you were ready to go to sleep for the night. I guess that’s what happens when you’re halfway around the globe….
Vic—go for the trail run!
Christa—hope it’s not too crazy for you with the 5 new clients. I can sympathize, my workload has been way too crazy, too. Good luck this week!
Well, training’s been going well. I got in a 13 miler this past weekend and I’ve pretty much gotten back to my typical week of 4 runs, 2 cross trains, and 2 lifting sessions. I feel good about that. And tonight was a great run. It was perfect weather (nice, since we’ve had mostly rain for awhile) and about 50 degrees. I did 4 miles at an 8:05 pace. I really didn’t mean to push that hard, but it just felt really good to be outside without 14 layers of clothes on. I think I get the pleasure of taking Hines out on a run tomorrow night. Krista ran with him tonight and we usually switch on and off for a run or two a week with him. She must have worn him out this evening on the run, because he’s snoring at my feet right now.
Ok, I know I’ve missed people, so please don’t hate me. Hi to everyone I’ve forgotten! Hope everything is going well, and I PROMISE I’ll be more active on the thread this week.
Happy training!
Steve
