Hi everyone!
Cam is right, I don't drink enough water. This was proven this time last year when I was in the Emergency Room with a kidney stone the size of a gum ball. I was determined to run the Half and did (with a stent in place) and later had the stone pulverized and the stent taken out two weeks after the race. The stent caused frequent stops at the "facilities" along the course, despite these frequent stops, I finished the race in 2:15:56 for a 10:17 overall pace.
I can't drink like a

. I am of the mind set that I eat when I am hungry and drink when I am thirsty. Today, she has given me the proper motivation to drink water in copius amounts

. I downed 8 - 12 oz. cups of water at work and another pint of water this afternoon. Unfortunately my body isn't quite used to all this hydration.

I will keep up the hydration saturation the rest of the week into the weekend. I am keeping good track of it all so I can reap the benefits on the road and with my motivator.

LOTS OF PD TO EVERYONE!
I am hoping to run a 2:30 Half and a 4:30 Marathon so I will be behind you. If I'm lucky, I'll reach the 5 mile mark in 51:29 - almost 6 minutes behind you. by the time I reach the half way point, it should be around 2:15 (15 minutes faster than my goal for the half on Saturday).
Good Luck with keeping the pace! If I had trained fully for this endeavor, I might have set the 4:00 goal for the marathon. At this point, I just want to finish both, collect my bling and enjoy the WORLD for a few days.
Best of luck, safe travels, see you at the FINISH LINE!!!!
