Non-Disney Online Games (Wizard 101) Quest Tips & Help Thread!

To help Life wizards battle Life enemies, I picked up a Death wand to use in those battles rather than my life. Also, put a lot of death cards (ghoul, vampire) in your treasure card stack so that you can pull those. I discovered if the Life enemy uses absorb, ghoul and vampire blast through.

Ok I don't know what is going on, but I just tried logging in Rowan DragonFlame and she was able to get in the game.

The first thing I did was count my treasure cards, I had 398. Not counting the ones in the spell deck.

I promptly deleted all the Ninja Pigs!

I hope this solves my problem.

Right now, since we're all going to be deleted soon, I'm off battling lesser bosses because I can pass or use shields or other zero pip stuff long enough so I can enjoy some of these high pip cards. Stormzilla is pretty cool and those flying pigs just crack me up!

Thank you everyone for your help during the beta test. Thanks to you we made great improvements to Wizard101, and it’s almost ready to launch so everyone can play it!

As we previously mentioned, because of some major final changes, we will be deleting all characters (but not accounts). This deletion will take place this Friday, August 29th at 7:00 a.m. Central Standard Time. You will be able to log in and play the game with new characters this Friday, sometime after 7:00 a.m. Central Standard Time. This is our final stage of Beta Test but it is important to note that all characters created after 7:00 am Central Standard Time on Friday will continue on into the game after launch. THEY WILL NOT BE WIPED AGAIN! Make sure you log in using your same beta test username and password when you set up your new character.

As a very special thank you to all beta test players, you will receive 600 crowns in your account (using your beta test username and password). You can use these crowns to purchase your limited edition "Pioneer Dragon" from Prospector Zeke in Olde Town during this final stage of Beta Test. The Pioneer Dragons will only be available for purchase from Friday, August 29th until Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:00 a.m. Central Standard Time. So be sure to log in and get your Pioneer Dragon ASAP! You can see pictures of the Pioneer Dragon on our website!

Well, at least I know now that the 600 crowns will be for each account not each wizard and will spend more wisely. See, I did learn something at Wizard school.

I'm going to miss my other pets and I was finally starting to get some decent looking clothes.

i am not thrilled about what we get. I have a pioneer dragon, it gives a dragonblade spell.

As of this morning, Zeke was selling the Pioneer Dragon in Wizard City for 320 crowns.

Who knows what the price will be tomorrow? I hope it is no more than 100 crowns, so I can make 6 wizards and give them a dragon apiece. Also, we don't know if the current Pioneer Dragon (with the Balance Blade) will be the same one offered tomorrow. After all, since they say in the notice that it is "limited edition", there may be a difference.

Speaking of Zeke's prices: Most of the items in Wizard City have changed. (I didn't have time to check the other worlds.) Unlike the dragon, however, most have been reduced by half! In fact, three items - the Sunbird hat, the Cyclops robe, and the Weakness shoes - now cost only 600 crowns. If those prices hold tomorrow, I guess people could buy one of those and pass on the dragon.

Shoes with a "Weakness" spell card. You can cast Weakness on an enemy to reduce the damage caused by their next attack.

Well we know there is a new school so I would check that out. The new school is technomancer. I really enjoyed myth and life

I only had one wizard, but really enjoyed my Ice/Life combo. It was tough at times (Collosus Blvd. and Krokosphinx) where the enemies were mostly Ice, but I always seemed to eke by (with some help from my friends ). After the wipe I probably will choose this combo again, unless I decide to have death as a second school. The one thing I will do different this time is to have some equipment (wand, clothes, treasure cards, etc.) that gives spells from different schools.

My main wizard was Death/Fire. Except for some instances, I could have almost solo up to the end of MooShu, but it seemed to be even easier for my friends in Life School. Their healing minion helps a lot.

I would not consider a Wizard without Life or Death abilities. These two schools have healing (or health stealing) spells that I think are essential.

My first wizard was a Storm/Myth as well, so I feel your pain! I do love those Storm spells though, even with the fizzle. I made my second wizard Life/Storm and have had a much easier time of it; I'll start one again after the wipe. The healing makes all the difference in the world. Also, if I run out of content because of any "free account" limitations, I figure a Life wizard will always have plenty to do helping out.

Has anyone made a Life/Fire or a Life/Myth? I'm wondering what those would be like for an additional wizard.

My 2nd wizard is Myth/Life and I really liked that combo. Myth gave me lots of minions from very beginning--I started with a zero pip Golem Minion at level 1 or 2, then added Troll Minion soon after, and then a Cyclops Minion. Having an extra player helped with some bosses. And, I really like the healing spells from life as a 2nd school. Between my Seraph and Humoungafrog, I can do a lot of damage, too.

I'm contemplating creating a balance wizard tonight to try that school out, too. Any thoughts on Balance?

My first wizard was a Life/Storm. I love the healing aspect of life and the awesome spells in storm. My second wizard was a death/myth which seems to be a pretty good combination. Since my favorites have been life and death, I will probably go with life/death or death/life. My daughter has a storm/fire. Storm seems to fizzle a lot and I don't think she has been very happy with the fire as a secondary.

My first was a Myth/fire wizard and my second a Life/fire wizard.
I really enjoyed the myth characters the first time around and except for the life bad guys enjoyed the life characters.
However, that fire is way over rated in my book! lol Too much fizzle for me and I won't be using that again. lol
This time I will probably be a Myth/life wizard.
